Archery season came and went for me already with nothing to brag about other then one bricked shot due to the worst case of buck fever i've ever had. and now the savage comes outa the safe as next sat marks opening day of rifle season.

Wow, CA starts rifle season this early?

yup we have the strickist rules and the hottest season (im sure somewhere else is hotter during season) but, i figure im lucky to be alowed to hunt in the PRC at all;)

and the shortest probly also. 10 weeks total if you count bow and boom stick

Our season is in a couple of weeks, I will be helping down at the range to assist for public Hunter Sight-in, helps reduce my membership cost by $40 for helping.

I will be ready for Primitive Weapons (muzzleloader) season and gun w/my 12ga mag. haven't done any scouting yet but have some favorite 'honey holes' I'm hopeing no else has found.

I'm gearing up. We put up one stand on Sunday. Going to site in a new scope on Wed and plan on putting up 2 more stands over the weekend. Can't wait.
