I'm not so sure that that church that Obama attends could really pass as a Christian Church. My gut feeling is that Obama is a closet Muslim and that his membership in that so called "Christian" church is all for political connections in Chicago's black community.
Not to defend the guy but if he's a Muslim, he's not a very good one. Has anyone seen him respond to a call to prayer? I don't believe he's a Muslim and this was just a slip of the tongue. But it does illustrate how poorly he does is non-scripted events.
I'm not so sure that that church that Obama attends could really pass as a Christian Church. I certainly believe this is a fairly accurate statement.

He also eats hot dogs which makes him a horrible muslim, he's going to hell most certainly. Also what better way to **** off fundamentalist muslims by electing a closet muslim who does not pray, calls himself a christian and eats hot dogs. That would put the great satan over the top.

He'd eat hot dog poop if that's what it takes to get him elected. You can't tell if he's christian, muslim, or anything else because any real beliefs he has are hidden beneath his overwhelming ambition. Obama only joined that church because of its reputation for black community political activity. It was the best place to make political connections.
The only real Obama that pops out once in a while, like the "bitter, guns and bibles" statement during a San Francisco fundraiser, are the knee-jerk liberal elitist beliefs drilled into him since birth, by his upbringing, education and environment.

Well said JJ,...
A comentator once said that the only thing Obama is TRUELY for or about is Obama!
after the way he blew off and dismissed his pastor as a "crazy old uncle" who he originaly had reffered to as his his "mentor", spiritual leader and major influence in his life as well as the horrible and critical way he publicly defamed his own grandmother who raised him just because she was white, tells you, this guy will sell and stab ANYONE in the back and do or say anything to get what he wants.
I don't like or trust Obama, but I believe that he misspoke and probably meant to say his alleged Muslim faith. I believe that he is an agnostic, just like many other Americans.

All,
Any kind of a story about Obama being a Muslim is BS. I am convinced that he is a Christian by religious faith. He was being interviewed about the subject and made a simple slip of the tongue. Nothing more. Nothing less.
The thought of Obama and his wife in the white house makes me shudder. People who are impressed by him need an education in reality. I don't trust him or his intentions. If he wins, :(, the joke is on us. It means that we did not do enough to get McCain supporters out to vote.
As for being a Muslin, it is my understanding that he has formulated some type of "seek" team to rally all mosques. Read between the lines. A Muslin running for the presidency of the US, would be given dispensation from his beliefs just to get elected. The man is dangerous and so is his wife. I don't believe for one minute that they are dedicated Americans. They both drag along too much negative baggage from the past.

Strictly conjucture. I think you give him too much credit.

Show me one fact besides stupid BS like his middle name is 'Hussein' or that he was partly raised in Indonesia that is solid proof that he is Muslim.
And if he is a Muslim, I see no problem in electing him to the Presidency, provided his loyalty is to the United States and he does not have any ties to fundamentalist Muslim terrorist organizations and/or sympathizers giving money and other aid to said organizations.
People have the right to practice whatever religion their heart and their conscious tells them provided their faith is not harming anyone else or is funded/supported by the US government. You really need to be aware of this and be hesitant to support a political candidate solely on the basis of faith. This desire on the part of the public is very easily manipulated by powerful people for selfish, unconstitutional or criminal reasons.

Since you originally claimed that he is a Christian, I believe the onus is on you to provide facts to substanciate your opinion.
AR15 Fanatic also states:
"You really need to be aware of this and be hesitant to support a political candidate solely on the basis of faith"
Again, pure conjecture. Never said I would support a candidate solely on faith. If you read my post carefully, you will note that I never claimed he was a Muslim, as you have claimed him to be a Christian, but only alluded to the fact that the posibility exists. Unless you can get into his head, it is a topic that will remain unanswered until his true self is exhibited. Something I think neither of us will see or know until the elections are over. Win or lose, even that's not a gaurantee.

Had you bothered to read either of Obama's books, go through any of his interviews he's given on this subject, not to mention being involved with a Christian church (albeit with a mildly crazy Reverend to lead it) for over 20 years which he attended regularly and partook of the church's sacraments, you would have known he was a Christian. The proof has been plain as day, yet you refuse to see such things so you can pounce on him for a slip up that somehow matches this fable that you believe about him.
Even his official website has discussed this. http://my.barackobama.com/page/invite/christian
Again, I put it to you. Show me where Obama claims to be a Muslim.
And no it is not conjecture that people are trying to link him to Islam or fanatical muslim terrorists. I nearly got into a fight with a security guard at the plant where I work because he was speculating about this issue and became violently adamant about it when I questioned him as well as presented the evidence above that such claims about Obama are false. And I have heard these kinds of poisonous rumors whispered around conservative and fundamentalist evangelical Christian circles hundreds of times. Yes there are plenty of people out there in middle America trying to frame and defame Barack in that manner. Also there are people out there (and plenty of them post on this website) who would not vote for someone because they were Muslim. They hated Romney because he was a Mormon as well and JFK faced a hard time in the 1960 primaries because he was a Catholic. These sediments are still alive and well and a lot of good people (yes I believe Obama is a good person) get poisoned and silenced by such loathsome rumors.

His website! Give me a break. Do you think for one minute he would say anything that would hinder his campaign?

Possibly true, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I am not in the habit of supporting rumors. I look at a persons track record, pro's and con's, baggage they drag or don't drag, and form my own opinion. I do not like or dislike Obama, and it has nothing to do with religion. I try to take in the whole picture. Other than that, this is going nowhere. See you at the voting booth......;)

This one thing kinda bothers me, if the guy really is a Muslim. If he cannot follow his faith correctly, what kind of chance is there that he will follow any rules as President?
Now that Pres Bush has magically received the power to declare war, without any help from Congress what is next? Please do not tell me that the circumstances surrounding Bush's declaration of war constitued an emergency
I mean really, could he have even proved the 4 boxcutter equipped terrorist pilots even came from the place he declared war on?

None of the presidents in my lifetime have followed the rules set forth in the constitution, and I'll bet there are none in our future which will follow the rules either. Oh wait let me specify. They are following the rules as [incorrectly] interpreted by the Supreme court...people the prez appoints. It's all a mess.
