Addressing a Bible college's graduating class that defending their nation's interests is God's will means "she blew it?" I don't see that.

If we keep accepting BHO as the "great orator" (read "speech reader"), we better be able to at least walk into a BHO presidency with our eyes at least partially open.

To say that Mrs. Palin "blew it" by addressing a Bible college saying it was "God's will" to defend their country and support it in the ways it needs, I think is stretching it BIG time. She addressed a group in their own context, while NOT deviating from her own views. Unlike Mr. Obama, who had the gall to say he supports American's and their right to defend themselves and own firearms, but has a voting history as poor as his when it comes to just that. THAT reeks of hypocrisy,<_< no two-ways about it.

I`m not saying that BHO is gonna be good for us, I`m just sayin` it`s inevitable. You`ll see.

It might not apply to a handful to good ole boys but the majority of the American people don`t want to hear that kind of rethoric anymore. That`s exactly the reason why someone like BHO could become a presidential nominee. Yes, people are THAT desperate.

Desperate, no. Stupid and gullible, yes. Because of those facts is the ONLY reason BHO has a VERY strong chance of being next POTUS.

You didn`t get the point. If the current administration did a better job and
we wouldn`t be "in deep heap doo doo" no one would want BHO`s "change" .

Other than that I`m not particulary fond of govt. officials who presume to know what God wants.

If Mrs. Palin belives the war and pipline are God's will I can respect her
for her belief.
I'm still of the belief that the Iraq war was brough on by Bush for himself.
No WMD have been found, Iraq is an open area to spond terroist(sp)
activity. So Bush opened a can of worms & we pay the price. Great !!
The pipeline will help maybe in ten years if we're lucky. No quick fixes

Yeah, she blew it - like a fox!!

You folks keep referring to Bush as if somehow he will still be in the picturre. But he won't be and Mac is not Bush - never has been, never will be. It's a scare tactic used solely to divert attention away from the fact the Obama/Biden have nothing to offer, and even what they propose is based on a flawed philosophy of socialism.

However, if we want to do the old president/new president comaprison, then let's go there.

Are you old enough to have lived through the Carter/Mondale years as a adult? Well I am and I did, and I'm here to tell you that it sucked big-time. Do you remember the collapsed economy due to his socialist dogma? Do you remember the ungodly high interest rates and double-digit inflation at the same time? Do you remember the total lack of respect that the rest of the world had for America? Do you remember the unbelievable devaluation of the American dollar on the world market? Well, if Obama/Biden get into the white house, Carter's years will seem like a Sunday School picknick compared to where this country would be headed.

+1! I have referred to the Carter years numerous times on this forum before I just gave up on it. Apparently most people here are either of the tiny minority that actually benefitted from the jimmy years, or are indeed too young to remember. I remember them as the hardest times my family has EVER seen. Yes, I firmly believe that Mr. Obama's presidency will indeed go down as Carter II, and that it'll be even worse on America than Jimmy's was due to America's massive credit debt now, as compared to then.

Doc, I`m not old enough to have witnessed the conditions under Carter as you discribe them but it sounds pretty much like what`s goin` on now.
On the other hand, the "socialist" Clinton, whether you like him or not left the country in an excellent condition, economy-wise.
I`m really not fond of BHO and some of his projects, like the "world poverty bill" but I really doubt that Mac will be able to save the situation either.

Yep. Ole' Bill Clinton was at least smart enough to realize that economically, Reagonomics WAS a good thing, and left policies that very obviously worked well in place! No matter how low the rest of us think of Mr. Clinton, we have to at least give him that.

:lol:yea-KLINTON really did great things, like using the economics that GHWbush started, downsizing the military to help in his budgeting, leaving us open to terrorist attack on several world fronts and not pursuing the attackers. All so he could have a (good?)cigar!Oh yea and getting us into yugoslavia's little civil war, having Americans murdered here at home(calling them home grown terrorists)because they had some food and ammo set aside for a rainy day,I could go on for hours...........<_<

If Bill Clinton was as slick at being President as he thought he was at being a player,we wouldn't have Obama....er...Osama to deal with today.
I know. That's just wrong:lol:

You are going to start seeing a backlash against this anti-Christian bias in this country. I watch the news and it amazes me that we are extremely tolerant of Muslims yet we are bashing Christians all day long.

Well Christians are not going to continue to take it.

BHO may become POTUS, but it has nothing to do with the other side mentioning God. It is more closely related to how stupid people in this country are. People are more inclined to listen to Oprah than their accountant.

BHO has star makers turning the snake oil salesman into the messiah and the lemming may very well just follow him to their deaths.

No WMD have been found

Except for the 550 metric tons of yellow cake uranium they just shipped out 2months ago, enough to make 163 nukes. Oh, and there's the Sarin gas found in 2003 that the media never reported on.........

http://patdollard.com/2008/09/cbc-iraq-good-news-sarin-gas-found-connections-to-al-qaeda/

Even so, the war was about Saddam refusing to cooperate with UN sanctions and acting like he had WMD, like the nerve gas he used on the Kurds, killing roughly 300,000 of them.

Sure thing, although it was tough to stop clinging to my guns and Bible long enough to type the response. OK, time to tighten up my grip again. ;)

Oh come on now. You don't really think the MSM would overlook something like that do you?:D:D

I heard about the barrels of gas about three years ago but there was nary a word in the media.

Argh....I'm sick of hearing this. There WERE WMD products found in Iraq, jut outside an Iraqi military installation. CNN reported it, however people were misinformed. It was nerve agent that was found. Several dozen drums of it in fact. The CNN reporter was standing less than 50 feet away from the stacked drums (labeled OP-PEST), announcing that no WMDs had been found.

I spent several years on an HAZMAT response team, and was trained on WMD/NBC response. A big chunk of the nerve agents out there are essentially organophospate pesticides. Yup, WMDs disguised as bug killer.

Check out http://www.bt.cdc.gov/agent/nerve/tsd.asp for more information.

moonie, you're pi$$ing into the wind with most of these "there were no WMDs" types. They thank that the only thing that is a WMD is a multi-megaton nuclear bomb. They wouldn't know a WMD if you rubbed the stuff on their butts - not that you would want to touch them there anyway.

markw76

That, and could there maybe be some reluctance to report WMD's after the media spent so much effort on reporting they never existed/hadn't been found/were works of fiction by the Bush Administration?

There are plenty of Iranians and Kurds that would like to argue with that, if they were still alive.
