I didn't watch the opening day festivities at the convention, but the news showed footage of Mrs. Fistladywannabeintheworstway saying that not only is my daughter, and everybody elses daughters and sons, going to get universal health care, they are entitled to a college education. :lol::lol::lol: Hopefully this younger crowd they are catering to realizes who will be paying for this.

I think most younger people are uneducated enough that they could be sold on these things very easily. However, when I tell them that countries with these things pay about 70% of their income in taxes, they do cringe.

Universal healthcare sucks.

Not that I want to hijack this thread but you know why abortions have stayed about the same price since they became legal (approx. $300)? They have done studies that showed that if the price goes much higher than that people don't get them.

The same studies have shown that with universal heathcare Planned Parenthood (or other abortion provider) could charge $3000 or more for the procedures because government would be paying for it ($600 toilet seats anyone) and it would be free to the patient.

UHC is win/win for abortion mills; they can charge 10 times what they are charging now and more people will get them because they will be "free". Factor in that Obama is so pro-abortion that he believes that unborn children who survive the procedure and are born alive can be killed and you have a very ugly mix.

Skip all of that and UHC is the most expensive "free" government program that exists.

Anytime you put government in charge of anything you pay more and get less.
