View Full Version : Obama, sued in federal court?

Mods, you may do as you please, but this may get interesting if it is true
I wonder if Hillary had any idea the kind of monster Mark Penn, et al were unleashing with their "Obama is unamerican" meme. For this, and Bill's childish petulance, her future as a Democrat presidential candidate is toast, and that's not a bad thing.
McCain probably doesn't want this to go forward.
It's Mutual Assured Destruction if it does.
Not that the PUMA's would mind ...

McCain doesn't have to worry about this. Though born outside the borders of the United States, he was born on an American military base to Amerecan citizens, serving on military orders at the time of his birth. That makes a natural born citizen, just as if he had been born inside the United States.

Not necessarily, certain things had to be done regardless of parental citizenship...if that wasn't done for McCain he might have some issues. That said, his situation is not as bad as Obama's.
Before we get into a immigration/citizenship debate I will let you know that I have first hand experience with a situation almost identical to McCain's: I know what I am talking about.

Before we get into a immigration/citizenship debate I will let you know that I have first hand experience with a situation almost identical to McCain's: I know what I am talking about.Me too. My son was born at Gorgas Army Hospital in Panama. Even though we were both US citizens living on base, we still had to apply for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad certification.
Just to be clear, I've posted it before and I'll post it now: no matter how much I don't want McCain as president,* I'd be outraged if he were disqualified, and would sign petitions, write letters, etc., would it ever become a realistic possibility. We cannot penalize people serving our country just because they happen to be abroad when they have children.
Anyway, I've found out more about the promoter of this so-called challenge to Obama's citizenship. He's apparently a 9-11 "truther," which wouldn't do much for his credibility in my book. Obama needs to put this question to rest, and then there will be another straw for his detractors to grasp, and then another, and then another ... until the last bit of internet bandwidth is sucked dry.
I don't think either his nor McCain's citizenship status is going to become an issue, campaign-wise nor legally.
*(And I fervently hope McCain is not elected, because he is running as a Republican, and today's GOP has been thoroughly corrupted --- When they clean house and gets rid of all the Jack Abramoffs, Tom DeLays, Monica Goodlings, and Alberto Gonzeles's -- and the party is infested with their ilk -- only then will I reconsider. Until then, Obama will have to do, and I suspect he'll do alright enough to get us through the initial stages of the great G.W. Bush disaster cleanup.)
Either way, we may see the fastest adjudication of a lawsuit in history. I bet someone could file for Guiness record status for the most non-partisan WTFs in the hour after that news got out.

I tend to agree.
Liberal judges have decided that children born to people here illegally are citizens but children born elsewhere to citizens are not. So it wouldn't surprise me on bit if they somehow managed to figure out a way to make this guy a citizen regardless of the circumstances of his birth.

You can count on it. The Hilderbeast isn't through yet, especially now that Biden has been selected for the VP slot.

The truth about Obama's birth certificate.
Summary
In June, the Obama campaign released a digitally scanned image of his birth certificate to quell speculative charges that he might not be a natural-born citizen. But the image prompted more blog-based skepticism about the document's authenticity. And recently, author Jerome Corsi, whose book attacks Obama, said in a TV interview that the birth certificate the campaign has is "fake."
We beg to differ. FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as "supporting documents" to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said.

I predict this will go away about as fast as the "we blew up the WTC ourselves" troofer rants.
"You can create your own reality"
I predict this will go away about as fast as the "we blew up the WTC ourselves" troofer rants.
Oh I'm sure you're right. Does anything on the internet ever really go away?
No. Too many never heard of Snopes.
"America! What a country!"
Who said anything about Snopes?
You're basically right; even once Obama's birth certificate is officially verified and this gets laughed out of court, there will still be some that will claim Obama is a foreigner and a Muslim. Like I say, they create their own reality.
The same is true of those that claim Obama is a marxist, even though there is no evidence for it whatsoever.
Snopes as in using a fact checker. Too easy to debunk bad info.
Disarming the proletariat and redistributing wealth by taxation and "assistance" programs could be considered Marxist doctrine. I guess "Marxist" could be considered an effort at using a more negative term than "leftist", even if it may not be totally accurate. I don't apologize for being sloppy in my choice of terms. At least we aren't resorting to the usual gutter epithets I've heard and read elsewhere. I dislike that, unless I'm communicating directly with someone in my presence and I'm really ticked.
I like to think I'm fairly reasonable, but I do have my limitations.

I have no idea where the authority of last resort is anymore; I'd think factcheck.org has a certain amount of credibility they'd want to maintain, so wouldn't claim to have verified Obama's birth certificate in person, were it not so. But that's the problem, isn't it, that even when the court rules that Obama's birth certificate is valid, there will still be some that will continue to pass on emails claiming it isn't.
Disarming the proletariat
Keep in mind that gun control is the new third rail of politics.
... redistributing wealth by taxation and "assistance" programs could be considered Marxist doctrine.
Not really. Marxism would require the nationalization of wealth. And as I showed in another thread, in great detail, Obama and Democrats generally have an approach towards taxation and "assistance programs" consistent with Catholic tradition, and, I would argue, Christian and Jewish tradition generally. There wasn't anything complicated about the evidence I presented, and if it made anyone's "head hurt," that's more likely due to having to reconsider assumptions rather than any complexity of the evidence itself.
I guess "Marxist" could be considered an effort at using a more negative term than "leftist", even if it may not be totally accurate.
The problem is, no sooner is this label not vigorously countered, than someone tries to equate whomever is being accused of being marxist with Stalin himself.

OK
If the tiny voices of psychosis keep popping up too often, we'll just have to tune them out. They can preach to the choir on websites I don't frequent all they want.
Is Art Bell even still on the radio?

I think people would know a Stalin when they see one. Anyone invoking that analogy would come off as desperate and therefor suspect.

I don't know, Mark. My philosophy on life is summed up in three simple words: People are stupid. WM Clinton for TWO terms? As a locomotive engineer I've hit 11 vehicles on crossings--and see countless more close-calls every day! The voters of MN kept electing Purpich--even though he saw to it MN's tax rates soared to the 5th highest in the nation--now down to 11 even though they haven't lowered anything--it's just some states increases have been higher than MN's... I can go on.
I disagree. I think a modern day "Stalin" could sneak in under the radar without people raising a ruckus until its too late. People have gotten too complacent and lazy, and will let Mr. Obama and his socialist/marxist ideals right in the front door, and will fail to even complain about their rights evaporating until it's gotten to the point where "traditional" American citizens are holed up in their homes for fear of the police state that has been created.
And SW, no more of the "Bush this" and "Bush that," please. He's not on this ticket, and there's no way he could be. We're talking about the very real probability that Mr. Obama will indeed be the next POTUS, witnessing the sheeple of the US and their following the MSM's love affair with Mr. Obama, accepting the MSM's views as gold, failing to question why for themselves.
Yes people are stupid. People are greedy, too. Mr. Obama is a wealth redistribution politician, playing off of class envy, and will be elected by people who are in favor of just that, who are too lazy to get out and work up for themselves.
A number of years ago, I was offered a job over the phone, to drive down to MS to work! I got down there, and I WORKED!! Unlike, I would guess, about 40% of the population, who would rather sit at home and collect welfare checks. I grew up in MN, and was shocked at the culture differences. Up here in the North, our outlook is pretty simple: You want better, go work for it. There's no such thing as a free lunch.
I gotta take a shower and hit the sack. I've been up since 06:30, and it's now 00:30. If my thoughts have seemed a little dis-jointed tonight, that's why.

Interesting comment. I heard one commentator say today that Mayor Daley of Chicago told Obama who he could not pick and Hillary's name was at the top of the list. Interesting?

Did the commentator actually hear this, or was it speculation.
We know what Limbaugh the comedic gatekeeper has said about whom McCain can and cannot select as his VP "choice," if you can call it that.
Obama had plenty of reasons not to consider Hiilary. Bill being one, and some of her and her supporters' behavior during the primary being another. I doubt Mayor Daley had a thing to do with it. Unless there is evidence otherwise.
I think it safe to assume Obama has strings back to Chicago, and considering how short a time he's been active, I'll also assume those strings are fresh, strong, and ready to be used.
It also bothers me that he has ties to those Weather Underground uh, people.
Don't get me wrong: I'm sure even those of you here have ties to people I would have doubts about. But then you guys aren't running for national office, are you?
When all is said and done, nobody gives a rip about who I approve of anyway. Except maybe my daughters.
It also bothers me that he has ties to those Weather Underground uh, people.
Receiving a $200 contribution is "ties"?
I don't think so.
With that standard, every politician in America, other than perhaps a few school board members, would be tainted.
I'm sure that wasn't the only contact they had. Both were on the same board of some organization, both moved in the same socio-political circles. Mutual friends, like Mayor Daley, are very likely.
Ayers is unrepentant and says the Weathermen didn't go far enough. Makes him a slimeball in my book. Was his $200 given back? Surely the political implications could be foreseen.
It certainly isn't as bad as commuting the sentences of a couple other bomb enthusiasts like Clinton did, but it does not inspire any confidence in me that Mr. Obama is what the country needs.
Oh, and until I know otherwise, I consider most politicians "tainted". In one way or another.
Freesw, I don't think the comparison of mayor Daly to Rush Limbaugh is on the same level. Limbaugh is just a political commentator. On the other hand, Obama probably wouldn't be where he is today if it weren't for his connections to mayor Daly.

Don't kid yourself. Nobody gets into politics in Chicago unless the Daley machine wants them there. And they don't stay unless Dailey says so, and they don't advance to higher office in the state unless Daley says so, and..........., you get the picture? I'm sure Daley has his hooks in Obama, and Dailey knows it, and Obama knows it.
Obama just isn't smart enough to get to where he is as fast as he has gotten there unless he is somebody's boy. He has been groomed by the Daily machine and is still beholding to them.
