Has anyone installed a Muzzle Break on their Mini 6.8?
Will the AR style 2.23/5.56 fit/work?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Smith Enterprises makes a Vortex break that's available for $55 through Brownells:

Looks like it also works with the Mini-30, so I'm contemplating a purchase myself!

If the muzzle brake for 6.8mm will also work on weapons chambered for .30cal wouldn't the opposite be true? If so, that opens all kinds of options for a 6.8mm Mini such as any muzzle brake designed for the Mini-30. I don't know, I'm just asking.

its somewhat true, there is a "sweet spot" as to how much clearence should be around the bullet when it exits the muzzle brake before it starts to negativly affect accuracy and also not reduce recoil as good as it could.
You could bore out a 6.8 muzzle brake to work with a .30 cal but using a .30 cal brake on a 6.8 would leave too much gap between the bullet and the muzzle brake and would proberbly reduce accuracy and not reduce recoil/muzzle jump as well as it could/should.
Too smaller gap between projectile and muzzle brake also reduces accuracy.
you would be better of boring out the hole on a smaller caliber brake to a bigger diameter then trying to use a larger diameter brake on a smaller caliber round.
