I sold of my "Heller Celebration" AK's, as I was unimpressed with the quality of the builds. These two were a case of being at the right place at the right time with money in hand. Both are G builds, the top in KVAR black furniture and built on a NDS-1 receiver. The bottom is a G build in KVAR plum furniture and built on a NDS-3 receiver. Both have had their G's removed, and have been parked. The beauty part is that I paid less for these each than I did my Heller rifles, each

Congratulations!

Your golden as long as you find the combination that works
best for you - having a little money left over is a bonus :)

After several MAK-90s I upgraded to a pair of Chinese AKMs.
This combo works for me :)

Yeah, I've got a MAK90 I need to finish... I have the FSB and GB for it, and I have threaded the barrel, and I have the G2, but I just haven't put it all together.

Man, I got in an argument with a seller on gunbroker. I asked him a question about his builds, if there was any galling on the barrel/chamber. He got livid and ****ed off and told me I needed to get an AR if I wanted something that looked good. Oh well. Saved me some money.

Check this out LINK (http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AKS230-1.html)
They are on back order, but well worth the 2 week wait.

You referring to that heavy canvas mag bag? I may get one. How many people realize that many of the synthetic materials one so often sees used for these types of things nowadays will melt if left in contact with something hot! That includes an ejected case, even. Good old canvas and leather have a lot going for them for these uses.

Both have had their G's removed

Is that just for aesthetics, or is there some other reason? How prominent is the "G"? You can tell I've not actually seen one.

Good looking rifles. I know the K-Var furniture and NDS receivers are top quality, and with being parkarized those have got to be keepers. Well, you do seem to like to trade, so maybe you'll find something even better! Unless and until, enjoy.

The G's are pretty large, but it is only an aesthetic thing:

That image was borrowed from another site. The G is actually engraved into the rifle. I think these two are keepers. I like them parked so that I can gunkote them with little or no effort.
