Could you all please tell me which muzzle brake you added specifically and how much difference it made in accuracy. I have a 196 series that I am going to shim the stock and was wondering about putting on a brake. Also how much louder did it make the gun? thanks

The 580 series are hard to find muzzle brakes for, with John Masen making the only one I know of that pins on.
It would be well worth the money to have Gundoc thread your barrel and move your sight back a bit. Then you have a HUGE range of choices.

I am considering sending my mini to Gundoc for barrel threading for the range of choices of brakes. I really notice the loadness if I'm shooting under a roof at the range, out in the open it is not that bad. Accuracy makes a big difference on my gun, I also have a 196 series and it would not shoot very good without it. I can get 1 1/4 groups consistantly but w/o its more like 2 1/2 or double.

TRI70.......Which brake do you have? Thanks
I had gundoc install the DPMS Levang brake on my 580 among other things. My mini now shoots (If I do my part) 1.3" at 100 yards.

I have a Ramline brake now, I need to send off to get threaded and then I can try other styles to see if accuracy is affected and how others deflect noise.

I added an Eagle pin-on brake/sight to my 189 series M30. the better front sight (HK type) definitely improves the iron sight picture over the factory blade sight.
when I fitted the break/sight I also recrowned the muzzle so it's hard to say which provided the benefit.
