Just bought a new Kahr CW9. My first impression was good but after taking it to the range this morning, I really like it. I need to do a little tweeking on the sights but all in all it shot pretty good and I KNOW it would do better in the hands of a good shot. Maybe with more practice I'll get a little better!:D

Looks like a great self defence gun! What rounds you were shooting? With a group like that at 25ft, IDPA or ISPC might be good way to break it in and practice testing skills at the same time.

Thanks! I was using the cheap 100 pk winchester white box 115gr fmj.

On a 1911, if it is hitting where you are hitting, I would move my finger more to the pad and off the joint until the impact moves. Great help there BlkHawk, that is a great demo on trigger control!

As I said before, I'm no pistolier but, after BlkHawk73's post I've been doing some looking at his chart and doing a little research. I've about come to the conclusion there's probably nothing wrong with my sights but rather in my technique. I found this video and watched it several times and picked up some good info. Maybe somebody else can profit from it too so here it is.

I think Kahrs are great carry guns, I just wish the triggers had less travel, seems like they are way to long for my tastes.

You made an outstanding choice. I think the CW9 is the very best buy for the buck in a carry gun.
