I would like to sell or trade the following rig -
This is a 1937-dated, all-matching vz.24 Czechoslovakian Mauser rifle with an intact Czechoslovakian Army Lion crest. The rifle is in its original military configuration with original finish on the metal and stock furniture. The “E5” prefixed serial number indicates manufacture at the Považská Bystrica arsenal in eastern Slovakia. The “E4” is a Czechoslovakian army acceptance VTLU code for Považská Bystrica. The stamping of the serial number on the trigger guard assembly is an indication of use of the rifle by the German Wehrmacht during WWII. The rifle’s barrel is counter bored and, not unexpectedly, has seen a lot of use. But, if not a tack-driver, she still is an admirable shooter. Nevertheless, there is a newer non-serialed vz.24 barrel with decent rifling and no counter bore currently on the rifle (of course, the original barrel is included in the package).
Perhaps even rarer than an all-matching vz.24 rifle with an unscrubbed receiver is the original vz.24 leather sling that comes with this rifle. Better yet, this sling sports a clear Czechoslovakian Lion stamp and is unit-marked to boot (issued to an Infantry Division).
Finally, to complete this amazing package deal, the rifle comes with a correct 1937-dated “ČSZ E” marked bayonet with “E4 Lion 37” stamped scabbard held in a 1937-dated and unit-marked Czechoslovakian leather frog. And if this was not enough, this package also comes with a leather two-pocket ammunition pouch and two boxes of 1937-dated Czechoslovakian 7.92 mm ammunition as originally issued (ammo must be shipped separately at winner’s expense).
From the perspective of a serious collector of Czechoslovakian firearms this package deal would be hard, if not impossible to upgrade!
Here are some pictures and there are plenty more available -

Based upon recent sales of all-matching vz.24 rifles and considering the original sling and matching bayonet/scabbard/frog and 1937-dated ammunition I place the value of this rig at $850.
As such, that is what I am asking plus $25 shipping for all (of course, ammo will be shipped separately).
Alternatively, I would consider a trade for a nice Remington Model 700P sniper rifle with a Leupold scope preferably in .223 or similar sniper/target rifle (perhaps a Tikka T3 with scope) in .223.
If interested either in a purchase or trade just leave a message here, send me a PM or email me directly at tsellati@earthlink.net
