I tore down my Mini for the first time lastnight since I sent it to you. I was going to ask you how long does your recoil buffer usually last? I can tell mine has taken quite a beating and it getting a little worn. I have a synthetic ruger stock that you bedded, but I couldnt tell it was bedded at all. I thought for some reason it would be visuabily noticable but it looked factory. Is your accraglass bedding black or someting? The trigger surfaces look great and I can definitly tell you did some work there. Is there anywhere on the trigger that I need to keep grease applied? I just thought I would ask yah about it. It shoots great, hitting a qaurter at 100 yards is no prob.
Thanks,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
When I bed minis I usually have 8 or 9 to do at the same time. I make enough bedding for about half of them at a time and depending which rifles are being done the bedding may be left natural, gray or black. The bedding is also in the front receiver area, not all the way around as the receiver past the legs doesn't do anything. Look where the receiver actually fits into the stock and you should see the bedding formed to a perfect mirror image. I dress it all down with a hand file so the magazines will fit just like they used to.
the recoil buffer will last quite some time depending on how many rounds and how hot the rifle was shot. If it's looking wrinkled or has hardened it may be time for a replacement.
The trigger just needs a good cleaning and a sparing amount of grease on the sear surfaces. Just a little goes a long ways on the polished surfaces.
A quarter at a hundred yards - don't ever sell that rifle to anyone but me!

I didnt notice anything that was mirror finish. I did notice the magazine area was slightly filed.
Appreciate the response. Yeah the rifle shoot pretty well. Im thinking about trying the smallest gas port I got from you. I have the medium in right now and the brass is still ****ing off people at the range:lol:.
Im going for a dime at 100yrds next time.:sniper:
Sorry, not mirror finish, but mirror image. Where the receiver has contours the bedding will mirror them. Try the small bushing, and if that doesn't work for your rifle I'll make a different one. My goal is to have your rifle perform, and one size doesn't always fit all. Just let me know and I'll take care of ya!
Thanks!

I appreciate the help gundoc. I still have a 25$ discount with yah that I need to use. Because you accidently kept the cheap guncase I sent my rifle to yah in. How hard is it to install a bi-pod stud? I'll try the small bushing soon and let yah know how is goes. That is if I can find it:unsure:
Oh yeah, Almost forgot, after cleaning and field stripping I noticed my safety is alot harder to move....why is that? Did I not lube something I guess?
Thanks for all the help.

Bump!
Bipod studs aren't terribly hard to install. If you look at the safety you will see where it rides over the hammer, put a little lube there. If it's still too stiff a little polishing is in order.

I put some grease there and everywhere else that I could tell you did and the safety is still stiff when the bolt is forward. I guess I need to send it to yah. Can the trigger pull be reduced even more when I send it to yah, because I pretty much only shoot this rifle at the range?
I will make it a little lighter if you enclose a note with your trigger to that effect. Thanks!

What is involved in replacing the recoil buffer?
Pull the receiver from the stock, and retract the recoil guide rod. Place the buffer against the receiver with the curved cut facing the barrel, let the recoil guide rod align back into the receiver through the hole in the buffer and reassemble the rifle.
