:DFound another p-89 ruger@ a pawn shop-used condition, dirty, but I checked the action and the barrel and they were ok.Has alloy frame, and hogue grips-not the typical poly crap that ruger and everyone else likes to use nowadays.$280 including bgc.Took it home and gave it a good scrubbing, went out and ran two mags thru it,flawless function-both double and single action.Really dealt some pain to a couple of gallon milk jugs at 50 feet.Sights were off a bit for the load I was using and I forgot my allen wrench-but with a little "kentucky windage" got on target.Another shooter for the "homeland defense initiative".God-I love the 2nd ammendment!:D:D:D;)

I've had a ss P89 for 10 years or so. Everyone tells me how ugly it is, and all that crap. Well I own 20 pistols of different makes and calibers and the P89 is the only one that has never failed to fire, extract and eject every single round that had been put thru it. It is the pistol that I fire the most. Reloads, factory, it does not matter. Thousand of rounds. The guide rod is getting a little beat up. Maybe, just maybe I will replace that and the recoil spring this summer. Or maybe not. Maybe I will just keep going to see how long it will go. It is ugly but it works.
