It's spelled Garand, as in John C. Garand
Tankers are nothing but bubba made hacked up pieces of junk, that often don't operate properly or reliably. No "tanker" that you will find/be able to afford is original military (the military only made about 10 trial guns, and scrapped most of them).

OUCH. That hurts. Mine operates properly and reliably. I don't think I'm a "bubba". Mine is in .308 with the conversion parts bought from Numrich. I don't think they are "bubba" either.
I like it.

Try this, has some basic info. http://www.scott-duff.com/t26.htm
http://www.warbirdscustomguns.com/M1%20Garand.htm
So why are you pursuing a Tanker Garand rather than a nice Ljungman or M96?

Yes Fulton does sell a tanker, and it's nice, but I am the only place to get a Mini-G (patent pending).
