I'm not looking for anything fancy or "tack driving" but I sure would like to lower the trigger pull weight on my 10/22 Carbine (all stock) so something a little more "friendly" (i really don't want a "hair trigger", but something that I don't feel like I have to really jerk/squeeze to fire). I've heard I could do this on my own (as I am mechancially inclined; but when it comes to 2 things -(1) electrical and (2) firearms- I'm more than happy to pay the experts instead of screwing up and getting my face blown off.
The guys on the 10/22 board speak highly of you. What are your rates to do a "light" trigger job on a 10/22 (light = not adding any extra parts). I'm on a budget (yeah, wrong hobby!) so money is tight with a new son and the economy playing it's games.... I'm not sure what the "standard" trigger pull is on a new 10/22 Carbine , but if it could be polished just a bit to drop a pound or two it would be a big help. I don't need a "feather shooter", but yanking it isnt' right either. I use this guy for hiking, target shooting, squirrel, rabbit, snakes, armadillo, etvv. I know I could go with mfgs like Volts. but I'd rather have it done RIGHT by someone who KNOWS instead speding FAR too much money on a trigger group made on an assembly line and then figuring SOME way to install it backwards!
Can yuou PM me with a price list + S/H rates, how to send you products (should I disassemble the gun and JUST send you the trigger/receiver?
I know work isn't free, but if we could work something out that could help a new father get a little more satisfaction out of his son's rifle (yes, it's "technially" my 13 month old son's gun --> his Grandaddy gave it to him for his 3 month birthday and told me I should learnd it inside and out and be ready to train him as soon as he's ready - I can't wait !!!!)
Let me know what different options or even packages you offer. Like I said, I'm not lookinf for "extreme", just something a little more "useful". I'd like to stick with polishing or modified "stock" parts if at all possible (just to save money) instead of having a hodgepodge of different mfgs inside the rifle. Right now the rifle is in tip, top shape (could use a deep cleaning, but it's shooting 100% w/o jam or misfires)
Thank you for your time and patience. Please let me know.
