I ordered and received a Mini 14 Blue Muzzle Brake. The seller did not tell me that it was for the 180 series. I have the 580 series. If anyone wants it, send me a self addressed, self stamped shipping package, about 7" X 4" and I'll put it in there and mail it back to you. Oh, this is the pin on type of brake. The part number on the package is PJMN1401B if that helps. How many stamps? I'd say at least 4-5 first class stamps.

Hawkeye, I don't know where you got this brake from, but it is a John Masen p/n: 1403B. What you want for the 580 series Mini is a John Masen p/n 1403BB.

Masen's listings of their web site, www.johnmasen.com is somewhat screwed up because similar parts are listed out of order. Scroll down on the page and you will see the muzzle brakes for the 580 series there. If you ordered the part from Masen, send it back and tell them you want p/n 1403BB.

I can't remember where I got it, but I called and asked if I could return it. The problem was, the part cost around $12-15 and the return was around $8. I just didn't think it was worth it. So, if someone wants it, all they have to do is send me a self-addressed, stamped package and I'll put it in the package and ship it to them.

I did go to John Masen and ordered the right part. My rifle now sports it.
