View Full Version : Glock 26 question?
I am about to order a Glock 26 with night sights. What colors does Glock offer, and which are the brightest and easiest to see at night?
I really believe you would be best served by going with the standard Trijicon night sights over the Glock night sights.

You may also wish to try MeproLight sights.
My three Glocks have either Meprolites or Trijicons (2 of one, one of the other). All are at least 10 years old, some as old as 12 years. All still glow well enough to be used. Just a FWIW.
I heard that some guys use a different color for the front and rear. An example would be red for the front and green for the rear. Is this advisable? What color is the brightest and most visible at night? Is yellow available?
...installed on two Glocks about 5yrs and 2yrs ago. No perceptible fading and easily visible in low/no light. Two colors? They're out there, but the extra expense of replacing the greens hasn't seemed worth it to me. If I was starting from scratch like you, I'd probably go for orange/yellow up front and greens in the rear.
I bought a Wilson Combat CQB last year. It came with two yellow in back, and a green up front. My first multicolor set up. It's nice, but I really wouldn't worry about it either way.
Never had trouble picking out the front on the Glocks or my other 1911's with all green. Just practice bringing it up to bare and sighting/aligning the sights in the dark a lot once you get them. You'll get the hang of it.
