Anyone seen the new ruger pocket pistol...looks just like a kel-tec to me. I think I saw it advertised in the march 2008 guns and ammo.

The LCP has a been a big thread topic on about every foum on the internet it seems. It's expected to be shipping in mid-March. I've got confirmation on mine. :D

I'm just curious what's behind the big excitement about these. I'm not saying I DON't like 'em, since I haven't even seen them yet. But why are folks so excited about a little plastic pistol in .380? I mean, can't you already get nice compact pistols in .380, for a pretty reasonable amount? I just saw a clean Bersa (http://www.gunblast.com/Bersa_380CC.htm) in a local shop, for example, and I know these can be had for under $300.
