580 Series Mini-14 GB w/Ultimak Leupold and Factory Mags (NV)

Hi Folks,

I'm a long time lurker who needs some advice. I've just been hit with a $4k tax bill and need to raise money. I've got a 580 series Mini-14 GB (blue/synthetic) with an Ultimak rail, Leupold 2.5x EER scout scope, Leupold quick detach rings, and 6 Ruger factory mags (4x 20, 2x 30). I'm looking to sell.

Round count: <250

Of course I would entertain offers now, but I also wanted to get your collective opinion: Should I keep the package together or part it out? I need the money, but not for a few months.

I would also throw in a brand new set of Cabela's QD rings and 4 Masen Black Warrior magazines (2x20, 2x30).

Until I get some feedback from you all, I'm only entertaining offers over $1k for the package. I've got well over $1600 invested in the this (I know that sounds impossible, but TRUE).

I'll take some pictures and post them soon. I'm at work now.

In the meantime, I'd appreciate any feedback, but be nice. I'm still hurting from Uncle Sam's spanking this morning!

I would suggest: part it out.

Also, you might consider listing a breakdown explaining the $1,600 investment; so potential buyers would have a better idea of what they might be purchasing.

I would keep the Mini and tell the IRS they can have their money in payments.... A paid off IRS will do nothing for you when SHTF!

Make Payments And Keep The Rifle - Good suggestion. That is what I did!

Yeah, I think $1600 is a lot for people to process when it comes to a Mini. For the curious here's a breakdown:

Mini-14 GB Blue/Synthetic 580 Series: $795
Ultimak Rail:$140
2 Factory 30 round mags (non-LEO): $95.00 each
4 Factory 20 round mags (LEO marked): $45.00 each
4 Masen Black Warrior mags (2x20, 2x30): $12.00 each
Leupold 2.5x EER scout scope: $250
1 set Leupold quick detatch rings: $50
1 set Cabela's QD rings: $40

I guess I should really look at parting out. It mostly sucks because it's such a pretty thing when it's all together. Tough, stock and high quality. Not at all super-tactical. I promise to post pics tonight.

Not to sound like an alarmist BUT definately KEEP THE RIFLE, ACCESSORIES, AND BUY LOTS OF AMMO.

SHTF is not too far off folks.
