I have a beretta storm carbine and i love it. While i have never heard anything about glock actually planning to make a carbine, i think it would be cool. does anybody else agree? i think a glock carbine using some of those 25 rd. .45 hi cap mags would be awesome. That would be some sick firepower in hopefully a very light package. Opinions/thoughts anybody?

Olympic arms makes a AR platform rifle that takes glock mags. I think its only in 9mm for now (not sure).
There is also the mech-tech (sp?) upper conversion unit that replaces the slide and uses your frame. Its available in a variety of calibers including 9mm, 40, 45 and 10MM.

I'm a big fan of guns that have interchangeable calibers, mags, etc...

Marlin did it with the camp carbine yrs back and discontinued them. Ruger has tried it wth the PC models and discontinued them. The beretta carbine isn't exactly setting records. There just doesn't seem to be a huge market surprisingly. I'm thinking if Glock saw such a large enough demand they'd make such a model.

Roger that. Oly makes an AR-15 that uses 9mm and .40 Glock mags (2 dif. models). Also Kel-tec makes a carbine that uses Glock mags.

The Kel-Tec's would fit the bill, but they're like hen's teeth. So much so that I suspect they're about to discontinue them (or already have).
