Here are some pics from my first build. 100% Kalifornia legal. (I believe)
Double Star Lower, Pinned 10 rd Mag w/ Magpul followers, Flat Top with A2 front sight, Knights Armorment Rail system, Grip Pod, Surefire Light, Carry Handle w/ scope adapter, Center Point Scope and a US Army Bayonet.

Shoots Great, did the Trigger Job on it and the pull is very nice. Still need a little work sighting in the iron sights.

I would love some input on what I should add to make it more of an envy at the rifle range.

Looks great! Too bad about having to make it People's Republic legal. (The bad thing about that is what is legal today may be outlawed tomorrow there!) My build was with a Double Star lower too. I think they make a great product, and many people have never even heard of them. Yours looks good, you did a great job.

You are allowed to have preban high cap magazines arent you?
PRK and the gun laws are out of hand.

Thats a mean looking rifle. Tan is a nice touch to the profile.

Pre ban clips are of but you cannot have a detachable clip if your rifle has a pistol grip.
The laws are very funny and only a real moron can read them and understand them..
The rest of the world just thinks that the laws are not very understandable. I have a 30 rnd pre ban clip for my mini-14 and mini-30 and they are legal to be attachable because they arr not rifles with a pistol grip. see how stupid the laws are. it come down to what is and is not an assault rifle.

Double star is actually pretty well known heres some info on who actually makes their lowers. The company is LAR they also makes them for a few others.

LAR = Bushmaster, Ameetech, DPMS, CMMG, Double Star, and Fulton

Double star and J&T are the same company and Model 1 is a sister company.
