I am going to make my own pistol case using an aluminium Zero brand transit case that I got off ebay. No telling how much this thing cost the govn't when new based on the new product prices here:

And some USGI green foam sleeping pads.

I plan on having at least (8) 8 round magazines for each as well as (2) 10 round below the pistols. I am going to cut everything out and make it custom fit.

Anyone have any tips for cutting the foam?

I've had very good luck with a Dremel and the "router" attachment. There is also a "router" type bit that works well.

Electric carving knives work well on normal foam. Never tried one on the closed cell high density as used in sleeping pads. If you have acess to a large deep freeze, freeze the foam solid before cutting. You can then use a jig saw with a fine blade.

Ah you mean like the spiral saw or whatever that thing is....

I think I am going to cut some small pieces off and test different things before I go live.
