I found a 250 yd shooting range. Dues are $20.58 per year. It has no shooting benches so I need to make a portable one. Does anyone have a how to make one? I know I can buy one, but I'm not spending much as I'm building a house board by board. My nail gun has a 50 rnd magazine.
I posted this in the Mini section and posted some links of plans I found.

That rig looks pretty good. It's that I'm building a house so my funds are very limited. I will have to settle for a home made job, but I can paint it to look purty.;)
Just made one from the Booger Bench plans today, only made it 48" long ,then to make it higher so I would not have my face and shoulder bent over I used the Cal. Varmint directions with a broom handle. It is nice to shoot with my back and shoulders straight. The cost of parts we're, 1 set of legs $20.00 at Lowes, 1, 2'x4' treated 3/4" plywood $10.00, 4 leg caps $2.00, alot of bolts nuts lockwashers about $4.00, 1 hardwood broom handle $6.00.

So what is the broom handle for? Does it seem steady when you push or try to rock it?
as the picture shows, it raises the table up 4" where you can shoot with a straight back, they go into the leg bottoms. and yes it is very stable.
I sanded about 3" of the broom handle so it would slide up into the table leg, snug. and pinned it where it could not back out.
One thing I found out today is,if possible try to find a single slide brace it is easier to unlock the table legs than the double ones are. (single ones are the fold up tables you see at used at churches)
