I'm looking into getting a good hard coating put on a favorite semiauto. After investigating, I'm thinking that the Rogaurd or NP3 coatings by Robar (http://www.robarguns.com/precision_coatings.htm) may be the best ones going.
Curious if anyone has experience with Robar or these finishes, or if you know of other finishes that are just as durable and good. With these Robar finishes, they cost $30 to $40 more to have done than say a Duracoat job, but they will also guarantee them for life against peeling, flaking, etc., a guarantee that you cannot get with most other finishes.
