John - I'm really thinking about the new Ruger Ranch 6.8. Problem is the mag issue (i.e. lack of any above 5 rounds and even no extras of those are to be found right now) is a big show-stopper for me. I'm thinking lips of the promag 10 rounders for the Mini-30 could be modified for the 6.8? I've always had good luck with the promag 10 rounders in a Mini-30. What do you think, and is working on a 6.8, to include mags, a project you'd be interested in? TM.
