I have a BSA dot scope and was wondering anyone use them on the T/C's? I hunt in short yardage area's and only have 2 barrels for my Contender right now, 223, 35 Rem. I was thinking about using the dot scope on the 35 Rem. for deer hunting.

I do not have a dot on any. I used to have a red dot on my 30-30, which was predominantly used in areas with shots 100 yards or less. There is nothing better for short range IMHO.

I've got a red dot (2 MOA) on my 44 mag contender barrel. I works great on hogs and deer here in central Texas. I can usually get 3" groups at 100 meters if I do my part. The only draw back of the red dot is that it does not have a clearly defined aiming point on round targets.

When I bought the Conteder it came with a Simmons 2x7 pistol scope but you have to be real still to get lined up. I have a dot scope on a S&W 22 pistol that works great. Thanks for the input!

I'd surprised if the BSA red dot stays in one piece on the T/C .35 Remington. But, I've been wrong before. I wrecked scopes on the T/Cs some 30 years ago, but they've come a long way since then.

I was out shooting with my brother and he shoots a S&W 44 mag and the T/C was more pleasant on the hands than the 44 mag. It does have the compensated barrel to help.
