any tampa st pete areas to shoot?

I have an uncle that lives there in st pete somewhere... i will have to call him and ask him where he goes. I think he shoots mostly handgun though

Not to be a wisenheimer, ...but have you looked in the phone book?
There used to be an indoor range in Tampa, just north of the Stadium on Dale Mabry. Used to be called "Bullseye" There is an outdoor range in the Clearwater/St. Pete area, would have to look it up in Yellow Pages.

im not looking for a "range" per say...
this is the "safe range" south of ft worth that i went to, it is a freinds land, and as long as im "good" and bring back more trash than i came with- i was able to use this anytime i wanted.
here are some pics from my fon cam of the 25 yard pistol range, the 1000 yard rifle range is just to the left next to the pond.

This might be further than you want to drive but I use the out-door range, Tenoroc Range south-east of Lakeland. http://www.tenoroc.us/


Also there are three Shoot Straight locations you might want to check out. The one in Tampa is at U.S. 301 and MLK. This is an inside range. http://www.tenoroc.us/

i went to shoot straight but the rifle range was closed? remodeling i think. there is another range on dale mabry behind a shell station near the stadium i will try to go to monday!

Just in case somebody still looks at this, I wanted to mention another outdoor range: GUN CRAFT in Ruskin. It is a tiny range that is only 50 yards long (with 100 Yards available on Mondays with an appointment). The office is a gunsmith shop and the people are nice (staff and shooters). It is only $25 PER YEAR for membership (bullseye targets only) or $200 per year for access to the IPDA-type where you can draw and fire). There is also a $6 per day fee to shoot.

I go out on Friday or Saturday mornings, maybe I'll see you there...
