View Full Version : Accu-strut Store is now open
OK, don't all rush at once (like that's going to help!)
The Accu-strut Store is now officially open for orders. Once again, please understand there will be delays as we try to cope with the initial sales volume. We will process orders in the order we receive them and get them shipped as quickly as we can. It will also take time to smooth out any glitches that may crop up during the ordering/shipping process.
I'd like to thank all of you who've been so patient waiting for this project to come to fruition. For me, it's definitely been a labor of love as well as a learning experience, but a long, arduous struggle as well.
Don't forget to post how you like your struts in the coming weeks.
Anyone else order their's yet????

Just ordered mine!!!
I have been following this for a long time.So glad to see that Kkina has seen this through and triumphed over adversity.I just put my order in.I`m # 17:rolleyes:
No stainless. Oh well
We originally envisioned launching with both blued and stainless versions. However, SS being a more difficult material to work with, and how delayed the project was, it was decided to put the stainless model on the backburner. We have already started R&D into this version, however.
mine's been shipped. #16. i will probably have to buy the ss version just for comparison. since it wasn't tested on a m-30 this will be a good research project. that means more ammo. damn. but honey, it's for science.

Hey there Kkina
I just ordered one of those Struts, Invoice #31. I am looking forward to it. I will be using it on my Mini-30. It is one of the slightly older Mini's, made in 95-96. I am also planning on buying one of those Explorer Laminated stocks for the Mini and bedding it.
I also saw looking at your products page that you might be considering offering other accuracy products and shooting accessories. I have an idea if you are thinking about making another product. I would love to have a recoil reducer like the one you have on the Mini in your picture that would fit on a Mini-30.
Thanks again for making the Accu-Strut, I look forward to testing it out.

How about anodizing or other form of plating on the carbon steel?

I would be very interested to find out how it works with a mini-30. Keep us updated!

We looked at all sorts of exotic (and expensive) coatings, but it in the end saw no reason not to simply match the coating the mini comes in from the factory.

First off I would like to offer my congratultions to kkina for a successful endeavor. It's been a looooong road but the wait is something I think we've all had some fun with. I don't think anyone here doubted that we would be hanging these things off our minis.
I received 2 today. Fit & finish are very good. 1 of mine came with only 3 of the lock washers but that's okay as it seems that the nut bottoms out on the strut before the washer becomes fully effective. No problem but I would highly suggest using loc-tite. Overall, very professional. Well worth the wait (if it shoots). Hopefully, range report next week.
Kkina, as the current blue finish matches the barrel so closely, if the ss version finds its way to production will you also try to match Ruger's proprietary ss finish on the mini?

Thank you for the nice comments. Sorry about the lock washer, we tried so hard to count right but those little guys are tough! Happy to send you one if you PM me.
As for it bottoming, the lock washers are actually designed for the CAPHEAD end of the screw. The nut is specced in to mate directly against the clamp body. Loc-tite is always a good idea on a gun, but I actually don't use any on my personal gun as I have to remove and replace the strut so often for testing.
Thank you for the comment about the finish. We worked VERY hard to match the Ruger finish. We will try to do the same for the stainless version.
Looking forward to your range report.

I have tiny lock washers & can just cold blue one, but thanks for the offer. I will flip them over to the caphead side.
1 is going on a mini 14 that is getting firelapped this weekend. This should be interesting. The other is going on a ss mini 30.
i got mine today Kevin & it is mounted & ready for the weekend. the quality is superb. range results to follow.
I got mine today! Thanks for the prompt delivery. Now I need to get busy with one of my Mini 14s.The Mini 30 with the scope was the one that got all the attention since it is fairly accurate.I will be mounting a spare scope on the Mini 14 soon and doing a before and after test.:)
