Here's one! I live in South Central, WV in Clay County and love it. The bad part is we had about 250 sg. miles of wideness owned by the mines that was open hunting but now it has been all leased out to hunting clubs. Hate that!
I have always hunted Deer and Bear with a longbow or re curve but due to age and health problems I had to go back to my old 30-30 Winchester Trapper and still have not made it out this year. Lung infection has me down but it's getting better. Take care and hope you have a great season!, Mike

Ya' got a hillbilly (North Caroline originally) engineer here in Hampshire County… just sittin' on a hill top halfway between two wildlife management areas with way too many deer, bear, & coon looking for unclaimed territory. Been here about 10 or 12 years and even heard that the big kitty cats are finally movin' back in. With all the food (deer) in the area, I'm surprised it has taken this long. So far this year one lady saw one in her back yard over in the western part of the county and one was captured on a trail cam up this side of Cumberland. From my experience out west, if you start see'n them, you've got one heck of a lot wandering around the area. If things go as expected, once they (the cats) get the deer under control you will start seeing your neighbors complain about dogs gone missing.

Hunting areas are getting kind of sparse around here too, mostly due to West Vaco selling off a lot of land to developers. Luckily we’re in an area and have enough land where we can just sit on the back deck sippin’ coffee and wait for one to wander into the leach field… easiest way I know of to keep the freezer full.
