This is a very interesting entry by Leupold into the red dot market. They're trying to get away from batteries, and make a red dot that has a great sight picture with a real reticle (not just a dot), while still being rugged and waterproof to meet milspec standards, and with all that is still more compact than most current options. I've been thinking about getting an Eotech, but based on the reviews, I'm going to consider one of these too.

The ony reticle pis I could find for this looked very similar to the Eotechs. I am in the market for a good 0-300 fast red dot myself. I actually want 2; 1 for the mini and one for the new AR upper.

Edit. I just saw that Eotech Makes a new model called the 557 with the same 1 MOA center dot and 65 MOA circle along with bullet drop compensating dots out to 600 yards with the option to add their new magnifiers. Most likely go with this one.

Yeah, I saw that Eotech would be forthcoming. Having the BDC, and specifically configured for .223, is pretty appealing.
