Does anyone know what a Firestar M40 .40S&W is worth?

http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg113-e.htm

It is made by the Spanish firearms manufacturer, Star. Looks like just a regular semi-auto handgun with an oddly low capacity. There are some Star products in the United States but the M40 along with the M43 (9mm) and M45 (.45) didn't seem to make it over and if they did, they don't seem to be popular in the least bit. Star doesn't make crap but I don't know quite how good they are.

I have one and love it. I was just wanting to get an idea of how much it's worth

Ah crap....I misread your OP. I thought you asked if anyone knew what it was. Hmm...

Maybe this will help. It's a 9mm M43 that I found.

Going at $425 right now but no bids. This is about the closest thing that I could find to it.

The Stars pistols were imported by Interarms. when they all went belly up, one company in New Jersey bought up all their inventory of parts. The reason I needed to know was because I had a firestar in .45acp with a cracked slide.

They told me that this was a common occurrence with the .45 acps. he also told me that the .40's also had a particular problem(extractor, or ejector), one which was common, but I cannot remember at this time. It appears as if the only firestars that do not have any problems at all are the 9mm's.

I haven't had any problems with mine and I've ran 1000-2000 rounds through it.

Glad to hear it. Personally. I like the little Star pistols.
