View Full Version : My $89.00 Investment:
Here's my Big 5 Sporting Goods M44 Mosin-Nagant rifle that I picked up not too long ago, was on sale and compared to the others in stock this was the pick of the lot, the rest looked like crap stock wise. Sorry for the small photos, but you get the idea, quite pleased, look forward to shooting it when my recovery is done with. Few nicks in the stock, nothing overly earth shattering to be concerned about, as long as the rest of the important parts look and work right that's what counts. Build date on it is 1944 and according to my research it was from a Russian armory, forget which though.

Very nice. I love mine. Cheap rifle, cheap ammo, uber strong, decent accuracy. Can't beat a rifle for $90 that can drop a deer from 300-600 yards without flinching.

Nice choice. It is not uncommon for a mosin that is properly scoped to shoot sub-moa. I love that gun.

Very nice rifle...Big 5 seems to have a pretty good selection of the mosin-nagent series rifles, and all in nice shape too.

Thanks Gossman! That’s right…I’m a Frankenstein bringing dead threads back to life..lol..No, actually I pulled up the thread searching for Mosin-Nagant info. I should have looked at the date of the original post before replying but I guess it worked out okay, the thread is now back to life! While we’re on the subject I picked up my first M38 produced in 1944 from Big 5 just a few weeks back. I’m actually very surprised at how clean this rifle is...
