Has anyone tried replacing the factory screws on the stock reinforcement with ones that are just a little bit longer?

What got me thinking about this was the fact that when I got my mini one of the screws was replaced with a machine screw that was about 1/8" longer that factory with two washers to it about factory length. Now when put it in my BC stock the screws have to be left loose until the trigger group is in and then tightened. Now when done this seems to lock the trigger group and stock together.

Can this improve accuracy and has anyone else tried this?

Also note that the gun has been operating reliable like this.

Could make sense. but would you have a pressure point on the action (one one each side of it) that takes away accuracy? Eagle, get the factory screws, shoot your rifle on paper then get the longer screws reshoot it and see if it makes a difference. kwg

Like kwg020 said, give it a try.

Going from a 7 1/2 lb trigger pull to a 3 1/2# will improve accuracy. Your Mini will be more accurate with a trigger job.
