About a year ago I tried stabilizing my barrel with SS shaft collars mounted on an elastomer behind the flash hider. I was using about 100 grams and results were promising. Now I am wondering about replacing my seperate sight / flash hider with a one piece unit such as the one sold by GunAccessories.com. As this unit is one piece, I thought it might help stabilize the last 2" of the barrel while adding weight.
Has anyone tried one of these units and has it has an impact on grouping?

I know its been talked about alot and several members have asked the same question. There is nothing wrong with buying another accessory just so you can give us some feed back and post more!:D I bought a Henrich stabilizer and have not shot my mini with it yet. I want to make a report and picture up some targets, just for the conversation on the board.;)

I've been looking at the Choate M14 style comp. Looks more like a flash hider but it's a one piece unit. Probably will cut the barrel to 17 - 17 1/4" and re-crown with my 11 degree cutter. I feel sure I'll need to return to the std. gas bushing.

I have a reduced bushing in my mini and it works fine with a 16 1/4" barrel.
