Do any of you reload for your mini 14's? I need to know whether to buy full-length sizer dies or small base dies. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The regular full-length will most likely work. I used to use only small-base sizers for the autoloaders, the chamber in my Mini-14 and alot of others as well is generous enough to permit the use of a regular sizing die. One other thing.......If you're going to buy RCBS dies, or any others, check first to see if it has a carbide button on the decapping rod assembly. I don't think RCBS uses them. Hornady does in their new dies, if I'm not mistaken. You can buy an assembly for the RCBS that is made by Hornady. Cost is $22 from Wideners. Reason for using it- It reduces the friction/ neck stretching associated with pulling the expander button back thru the sized neck. I've been using them for 25 years or better and they work.

I have a Hornady resizer and bullet seater that I use on my Lee Pro 1000. It is a full length die and does a great job, I also like using the Hornady 1 shot spray lube when resizing, spray a good coat.;)
