The Big Piney Sportsman’s Club is sponsoring a High Power Rifle (National Match Course) match. If you would like to test your marksmanship skills, come on out and give it a try. This match is open to the public and all are invited.
Dates: 21 July, 29 September 2007 Time: 9:00 am
Place: Big Piney Sportsman’s Club, located on Hwy B between Houston and Raymondville in Texas County.
Rifles allowed: U.S. service rifle M1 Garand, M14/M1A, M16A1/A2, AR-15, or any other U.S. service rifle allowed by C.M.P. rules. Any foreign service rifle using standard stock and front and rear sights of original design. N.R.A. match rifle (Any center fire rifle with metallic sights and a magazine holding not less than five rounds).
Restrictions: No muzzle brakes, extension tubes, compensators, or release triggers are allowed.
Sights: Open or peep sights only. If you use corrective lenses in your peep sights, only one peep sight (either the front or the rear) can contain the lense. Spotting scopes may be used to spot your shots.
Entry fee: $10.00
Course of Fire

300 yds 10 prone rapid seventy seconds
300 yards* 20 prone slow twenty minutes
* Denotes use of the MR-63 600 yard reduced target.
