Time: 8:00 am

The Big Piney Sportsman's Club is holding two shooting events on these dates.

The first is a 30 round tactical rifle match. The firing takes place anywhere from 700 to 100 yards. There are 10 firing positions with three rounds fired per position. The targets are hostage targets and/or IDPA targets covered with t-shirts. Positions can consist of various simulators such as a roof, wall, under a car, over a rural mailbox, 55-gallon drum., etc. There are no wind flags and scoring isn't done until all firing has been completed. Any rifles of any action, weight, sights, and caliber are allowed. Entry fee is $20.00 and pre-registration is not required.

The second course of fire is a timed combat rifle/handgun course. This is a 40 round rifle and 24 round handgun match. Rifle is any centerfire rifle that can hold at least 10 rounds in either a fixed or detachable box magazine. The handgun is any centerfire handgun that can hold at least 6 rounds and can be rapidly reloaded. The course consists of twenty rifle and six handgun targets. All targets are IDPA targets covered with t-shirts. When engaging with the rifle, 2 rounds are fired into each target, when engaging with the handgun, 4 rounds are fired into each target. To start the course, you must clear a simulated house by engaging ten targets from five different firing positions using the rifle. Once you have exited the house, you will engage the six handgun targets from two firing positions. Once the handgun targets have been engaged, you must then reload your rifle and engage ten more rifle targets from five different firing positions. This course is set up in a natural woods area. The targets set up outside the house are not always set up in completely cleared firing lanes, you may find yourself shooting through and around various kinds of brush, vines and small trees. Any kind of sight or scope is allowed. Entry fee is $10.00 and pre-registration is not required.

The BPSC is located on Hwy B between Raymondville and Houston in Texas County, Missouri.
