Gess who !!!
Yes it's me  , well you new guys maybe dont recognice me, but them old fard does
Im as you know always full of ideas, sence i were here the last time i have probebly come up with 5 or 6 diffrent kind off barral stiffness/harmonic aid designs..
But im not here to boore you guys to deth, this is more of and "you could do it youre self" kind of thing.
I'we always hated the Mini's scope mounts, they just are to hmmmm poor.
I want a rail, and no freaking add on rail but a screw mounted no loose **** come loose loosen or get all mad over (haa long sentence there, just for fun).
So i'we been lurking around and just found the right thing.
Badabing badaboom "EGW-GUNS" http://egw-guns.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=203.
They have 16 inch Picatinny rail's that are unworked, just the picatinny and a raw underliner. tot hight of 0,65 i think, well heres a pic
http://egw-guns.com/catalog/images/16inPicatinnyExtrusion.jpg
And this is what i have been thinking of
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Paledaddy/rail.jpg
I did a quick mockup in Solidworks so you'll see what im talking about.( No ribb cut out on it yet )
1. You need a milling machine or a friend that has one (or a workshop somewere who could help out)
2. Take youre reciver and mill out/flush just the inside of the scope mount that is jagged (hard to drill that area otherwise).
3. Drill at least one hole in the front pillar and one in the back, then you could always add one more at the back area were the peepsight is mounted. For sake of GOD DO NOT drill straight through at the front pillar, youre really wouldent wana make youre own gas check hole in the chamber :D .
4. Mill the Bar of picatinny rail (base) so that it has the aprooarite hight (see the pic), you see that i have opened up a fairly larg opening, that becuase it will like that up intill the barrel gets thinner.
5. Mounting and threding with a good size screw/thred.
Barell support blocks could be milled out and mounted under the rail to support barrel and rail.
A new top part of the gasblock can be made so you can mount rail to it.
this thing will be pretty cool, 16 inch flat top rail, med weaver rings will allow a 42mm scope so it clears tight with flip covers. Eazy mounting betwean red dots and scopes, just as i want.
BE SURE ABOUT ONE THING !!!!
I WILL DO THIS NO MATTER WHAT, WHEN CASH ARIVE AND TIME "oops" I WILL DO IT  .
So what you guys think ?
If it's a large intrest i could mock up a fairly good drawing of how the rail needs to be machined and how supporting barrel blocks going to look like + a top gasblock for you who have stock ones.
Tiiideloo..
