Sure have. I haven't had problems with them other than excessive crud in the barrel. Not a big deal. They are kinda cool for night shoots and can be a real attention getter. Just make sure that you shoot them in a safe area that is not tider box dry or fire WILL result. They have recently closed some of my local BLM ranges because of poor shooter judgement with tracers and resulting fires.

I have put a few rounds through my Mini and it dosen't seem like it has harmed anything.
Like gunrun45 says, they sure look cool at night.

Does anyone know if tracers are illegal in CA?

My father told me a long time ago they were.

Anyone know for sure?

Ammoman.com just got in a load of M856 tracer ammo for sale and apparently they've already sold quite a bit of it. I understand it's 63 gr. Don't know if it's illegal in CA, but my range won't allow us to use it...

You know...I never thought to ask or look. I can't believe that it hasn't come up. The last time I checked tracer ammo was OK still as long as it was 12 guage or smaller (basically no air born moarter rounds)....

Ya I've shot some tracers that I picked up from Cabelas, and they work fine. It's actually really cool to see, you should check it out.
