View Full Version : Why is Racism Tolerated Here?

It says it right here in the Perfect Union welcome message:
"Welcome to the PerfectUnion BBS forums, home of some of the best information on the Ruger Mini-14 and 10/22 as well as many other rifles, shotguns and pistols.
We are a site dedicated to Liberty, not to any particular political party. We don't tolerate racism, sexism, or just about any other -ism on this board, and all discussions are aimed at fullfilling the goal of making this a family-friendly atmosphere."
So why do we see another anti-Muslim thread every few days? Ya'll know what I'm talking about. The "War on Terror" has nothing to do with this.
These threads are just vehicles to spew hatred for anything Islam. Words like "raghead", "camel-jockey", and even made-up crap like "moo-slime" are thrown around regularly.
Now recently I'm seeing fellow members being attacked and called names simply for objecting to this garbage. Here's an example:
Musharraf is trying to lead you cavemen out of the medieval ages. I respect him. Unfortunately he seems to fight an uphill battle. But don`t worry, sooner or later the islamist cockroaches willbe sqeezed, every single of them. The entire world hates you....except for liberal camel dung eaters like (PU member).
This makes us all look like a bunch of ignorant knuckle-draggin' bigots. I'm no big fan of any organized religion, but I'm sick of it. Is this the way ya'll want Perfect Union to be represented?
I guess it`s exactly the same reason why your rants are tolerated.
Without the first amendment the second one ain`t worth a rat`s azz...;)
No doubt. I didn't know radical Islamists where a race.
The same old thing does get old after awhile. I don't really consider myself racist as much as a "I hate anyone that wants me dead" type of person. I'll take anyone from anywhere on their own merits. The ROP, as portrayed by its own leaders, is worth keeping an eye on IMHO.
hmmmmmmm........touchy one here. I remember that during WWII we called the Japanese "Japs" and the Germans "Krauts or Jerry's". Funny thing is, we WON, and now both countries are allies and strong economic forces (thanks in a large part to our rebuilding them).
I have no problem with insulting remarks against radical muslims that want me dead. PC crap makes me want to vomit.
That does not translate into the fact that I think Iraq is going well and W is a good leader (which I do not), but it takes balls to fight an enemy and we have slowly been emasculated. Suicide bombers, head choppers, woman rapers, kill em all. And good riddance. Why is it SO hard now to say that one culture is actually more sophisticated than another? Its like every student gets an "A", and its BS. You get what you earn.

That's a religion, not a race. Also the way it's stated is pretty fair, it applies only to the 'cockroaches' and no one in particular. It's not even a generalization. It's applied to Radical Islam, and I can hardly think of a more racist bunch. We are also at war with them in their own mind, they have a Gihad against us. They have goals like, to disrupt our efforts in Iraq and Afganistan and to kill as many American or westerners as possible. You don't have to be a knuckledragger to express our discontent with these people, but hey isn't that a picture of one one at the bottom in your sig line? :)
That's a religion, not a race.

So nobody cares about the fact that one of our fellow members has been called a "camel dung eater"?
Man, I've had my political rants before, but nothing close to the kind of hatred I've seen here lately. The majority of Muslims are not trying to kill you. What the hell's the matter with ya'll?
Now you are actually excusing and defending this? Splittng hairs between racism and religious persecution is ridiculous. It's all the same kind of hate and you know it.
I'm totally disappointed in the reaction I've seen here. Even though it's the exact same people I'd expect this crap from, it still sickens me.
Shame on you.

Ive been called names. Some by you. I doubt anyone was ever harmed from it.

Seriously, Boogy, get off your high horse. "Islamic cockroaches" does not neccessarily apply to all muslims.
It would be like saying white trash or something. That doesn't mean all white people are trash, but the ones the author is referring to are.
"Muslim" or "Islamist" is not a race, either.
Shame on you, and the horse you rode in on.

It's a sad state when you cannot hate your enemy's even after they have shown aggression torwards you. This "lets hug everybody and not offend anybody" crap is going to be the end of this country i just know it. Why is it so offincive to you boogy to hear some one called raghead? didnt you serve in Vietnam? im pretty sure that you would have some creative names for the V.C. But hey maybe not clearly your with out faults cause your always the first one throwing stones.
There are plenty of Muslims in America too though! Calling Muslims "camel dung eaters" is calling ALL muslims camel dung eaters. That is a biggoted and blanketing statement. There are also NUMEROUS countries in the middle east that are defined by their national religion of Islam. Just like the affiliation of a large majority of Italians that are Catholic. If I were to make biggoted statements about Catholics, this could very well slide over into racism aimed toward the numerous Latin countries that have Catholocism as a national religion.
You may hate or dislike those that rise up against you but you may not biggot people until they all become your enemy because of your ignorance!
I would like to hear a mod's input on this matter. Their decision and opinion is what's important on this board!
So nobody cares about the fact that one of our fellow members has been called a "camel dung eater"?
Man, I've had my political rants before, but nothing close to the kind of hatred I've seen here lately.
Sometimes it takes hate to win a a conflict. All politics aside (believe me I KNOW this a war of oil and economics) the fact remains that these radical Islamists DO want us dead. Do I personally hate all Muslims? No, but I don't know very many either, and I would suspect many of them (especially those stateside) are pretty upset with the radical factions. That does not warrant a big group hug from me though. It comes down to the basic truth that life is tough, and we think ALWAYS that a solution exists that will satisfy EVERYBODY. Not possible, much of Islam is at the very least sympathetic to the destruction of the western culture, and I am tired of sugar coating and baby talking. Do I want to nuke them all? Hell no, but we need to wise up and invoke some fear. Sometimes, hate is not a bad thing.

IGNORANCE + FEAR = HATRED.
Hate is hate, no matter what you call it, it's weakness.
Hatred does not kill your enemies. Hatred only divides. Why the hell do you think they call them "terrorists"???

This isn't about "PC crap". This is about honoring what America stands for.
It doesn't take being on a "high horse" to remain above the prejudice and hatred some of you are choosing to wallow in.
You know Al Qaeda is rolling on the ground laughing with joy everytime they see this sh*t. They WANT guys like you to spew your bile on every Muslim within spit-range, including the ones in America. They want every Muslim to be kicked in the crotch by some ignorant loudmouth. It makes their day everytime they see the words "raghead" and "camel dung eater".
Yeah, excuse me for standing up for American values like freedom from persecution. Just "PC crap".
Well, I'll tell you all what. I DONT tolerate racism, hate, or predjudice, and as far as I know, none of the other 'staff' here does either.
No one should lump a group of people into one bag. Be it Blacks, Whites, Catholics, Christians, Muslims, or whatever! There are bad ones in every bunch, but EVERY ONE of the bunch is NOT bad!
This is NOT what PERFECT UNION is all about. Do you SEE the NAME of this BOARD? PERFECT UNION.

I am the one who was refered to as a "dung eater" muslim. I am of European descent, my family has been here since before the revolutionary war, my grandfather came west and homesteaded, I attend an Orthodox Church which is not a "raghead or muslim" church but is Christian. I believe in self defense, matter of fact I am an firearms instructor and CCW permit instructor. I have grown tired of the crap and hatred spewed here by ignorant bigots who barely can read and understand. The riots in Pakestain have nothing about to do about legalizing rape by muslims. The muslims already teach it is wrong. Do some muslims rape? Sure, and looking at the police blotters, so do many in the U.S.. Do all muslims want to kill us? I don't find it so in my experiences. Do the Roman Catholics want to kill all who refuse to convert? No, but even within 100 years ago, some were doing it. Do all Baptists want to lynch blacks, no, but within my lifetime it wasn't uncommon. Change can come about but it sadly, it comes slow. Hatred is hard to drive out. I am no bunny hugger, I am no pacifist, but I beleive that the recent posts and polls have nothing to improve, just to spew. Like I said before, be careful when fighting dragons lest we become one ourselves. And I made sure to write this slowly and use simple words because it is apparent some don't read, just spew.

Thanks for being a perfect example of just the kind of "hate-wallowing" I was talking about.
By the way, it's spelled "dumb reDneck", not "dumb reneck".
And I AM a gun-owner. I just may have more guns than you do. I just may know more about guns than you do. I just may be a better shot than you are. That would really burn your tail, wouldn't it?
What I take issue with is being represented by people who act like dumb rednecks. It gives all gun-owners a bad name. It makes fighting anti-gun laws that much harder when people think we are all a bunch of dumb rednecks.
Get it?

Boogyman, I thank you for bringing this to the attention of all. Some people go through their life with closed eyes and it's a shame. Many have not had to put their lives in someone elses hands or count on a team member to watch their back. All predudice goes to the wayside and you find the lord real quick when the selector goes from safe to fire.
What is funny is that I have been a Republican for 30 years, gun owner, Christian, against abortian, served in the Marines, Honorable discharged, feel that homosexuality is wrong ( but I harbor no hate), been arrested for brawling, yet am considered a liberal by someone who most likely is either a teenager or a 40 year old guy who has an airsoft gun, lives in his parents basement and hasn't dated a female since the eighties. See, I can spew also but it isn't right. It's easy to post crap from without being face to face. I am done with this.

Not trying to rag on you Boogy (pun not intended hehehe) but I think you do have it wrong here. they are NOT laughing when they see what you described, they are laughing when some pansy liberal "focus group" gets a news spot on "why we should all get along". If you knew me personally, you woud know I am the farthest thing from a racist, but I will call it like I see it. That is where our collective weakness as a nation sits, we are afraid to say what is the truth for fear of "offending" some group. Jeez, I am a white male, I get it every day! I am responsible for most of the problems in the modern world as far as I know! Time to let the world get a little reasonable and call it like it is.

Mooky, you need to take a couple steps forward in your thinking here, you're missing the whole point of what "terrorism" is. Webster's:
terror 3. violence by a group to achieve a political objective.
terrorism systematic use of terror and intimidation in order to coerce.
terrorize 1. to fill with great fear; terrify. 2. to control and dominate by intimidation and violence
When we let our fear and hatred control us, we are playing right into the terrorists hands. They want nothing better than to see us divided as we are, fighting amongst ourselves, and spewing hatred towards all Muslims in general.
If we could step back and look at the big picture we would see this. Givng in to our base emotions is exactly what terrorists want, we're just letting them control us. It's easy to control a fearful or angry man.
They know they cannot invade us militarily, thus they use psychological warfare. They are not stupid, and it's a mistake to underestimate our enemies. We have to be smarter than they are.
Then according to what you're saying here, if hatred is what's truly in your heart, than that's what should come out of you're mouth?
"Call it like it is"? What is "it"? "It" is what is in your heart, right? What you really feel? So are you assuming that everyone feels the same way you do? What if someone does not carry this hatred in their heart, and they "call it like it is". Is that wrong because it's not the same as what you feel?
Our "collective weakness" is not fear of offending anyone. It's fear period. Fear comes from ignorance and leads to hatred. We are ruled by our base emotions. That's what makes us so easily controlled by everyone from the companies selling products on TV and the churches wanting your money, to the terrorists and our own government.
The only way to immunize ourselves from being controlled is to avoid falling victim to our own base emotions. Whether our primary concern is offending someone or not, or simply refusing to sink to a lower level, we are stronger and we make smarter decisions when we don't let fear and hatred rule us.
Our "collective weakness" is not fear of offending anyone. It's fear period. Fear comes from ignorance and leads to hatred.
I am glad we can have a civil debate here, but I think you need to take a step forward in your thinking. It is "fear" that creates all this PC "don't **** off the terrorists" thinking. What you fail to realize is that there are factions (rather large and powerful ones) of Muslim people that want us destroyed, whether or not we invade Iraq, support Israel etc. etc. or not. And I agree, our "enemy" is most certainly NOT dumb, but they are dangerous and they are not going to leave us alone even if we pulled ALL of our interests out of the middle east. What, pray tell, would you recommend?
Like it or not (I personally do not) we are in this fight. What would you suggest we do? My stance is based on strength and unity, we are divided right now and it shows weakness.
The premise of your argument is based on MY ignorance, which I am not. I can identify a threat and call "it" a threat. I recommend that more people do so as well. If you disagree with that statement, than it is my feeling that you are the ignorant one (and understand that this is NOT meant as in insult).
And as far as hatred, one of the things I really like about American people (our government notwithstanding) is that we generally like to be left alone in peace. The level of hatred directed toward us in the Muslim culture is astounding, it is real and it is not in hiding. Do YOU believe the Holocaust actually occurred? I do....but the president of Iran (I will not even take the time to look up his name) does not. Who is irrational and full of hate? (for the record, I am not Jewish).
Oh yeah, you asked what "it" is. That one is easy.....it is the truth without excuses. If I bounce a check at the bank, "it" is certain that "it" will be embarrassing and cost me fees, no excuses. If my son fail a test at school, "it" is a fact that he will get an F for that exam, no excuses. I guess "IT" is accountability, on any level.

Huh? Who said anything about "don't p*ss off the terrorists"? That's not even close to what I said.
Have you completely forgotten what this thread is about?
I don't see how this is going anywhere if you don't even understand what I'm talking about. And I'm tired of repeating myself.
What you fail to realize is that there are factions (rather large and powerful ones) of Muslim people that want us destroyed
Do you think you're talking to an idiot? Of course I realize it, that's the same people I've trying to warn YOU about.
I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall here. Did you even read my last post at all?
What, pray tell, would you recommend?
(sigh) I guess you didn't read a word. <_<
The premise of your argument is based on MY ignorance, which I am not. I can identify a threat and call "it" a threat. I recommend that more people do so as well. If you disagree with that statement, than it is my feeling that you are the ignorant one
Practically my entire post "identified the threat". WTF?
Well, I give up. How you got what you did out of what I just wrote, and completely missed what was said is beyond me. As far as the rest of your rant, you jump from the American people wanting to be left alone (which is why we invaded Iraq I guess) to the Holocaust. You're confused, Mooky. Or you just refuse to acknowlede what I said and you're trying to create a different "reality" to argue about. I won't debate nonsense.

It is so ironic that I think we should just agree to disagree, as I was thinking the EXACT thing reading your posts (is he even READING what I write?) I said in reference to to the American people OUR GOVERNMENT NOTWITHSTANDING. And the recent "conference" regarding the Holocaust in Iran is VERY relevant to the discussion, please get informed. The problem is that we cannot just sit in a circle and sing "Kumbaya" and think everything is okay. I personally wish that would work (well maybe not the singing part), but it won't. And you still have not offered a solution to the problem (just stop being hatefull is NOT a solution).
Perhaps niether of us is "right", and we should leave it at that, but please do not refer to my posts as "nonsense" as I did not to yours. :D
You know, I can't really say much other than I've seen some of the most ignorant garbage spouted here.
Trying to say that when you use the term camel jockey or raghead you're only referring to radical islamists and not the entire Arab world is like me saying when I use the word nigger I'm only talking about ignorant, criminalistic black people, not the rest of them.

I get so damn sick of hearing this stupid sh#t! This is exactly why we are not winning the war on terror. This new modern America cares more about the rights of our enemies than our own people! There are lawyer's standing by waiting to serve any raghead from Iraq who claims to be abused by our troops. Troops who put there lives on the line every day fighting a so called war. Hell they are afraid to fire back when fired upon by the enemy because of the liberal BS here in America. Which this is not nothing new the same thing happened during Vietnam. And then on top of all this people here in America argue about the rights of our enemies. Wake up people your enemy has no rights. The point of fighting a war is to completely destroy your enemy. As with the muslims the only way forward is to kill off every living being over there. You had better belive they would kill you. And as for the touchy subject of women and children of course they are to remain alive but think of this. Would the children not grow up to eventually kill us. And the women already have a record of killing us. Something to think about. But on top of all this we have non-muslims here in America who's only concern is our enemies rights. With bs like this in our own country we might as well bring the troops back home today. And then if all this is not enough we see sitiuation's like the one being discussed in this thread. Maybe you people need to decide just exactly who's side you are on?

WHERE do you see anyone defending "our enemy's rights"? Where do you guys get this sh*t? We're talking about the stupidity of racism and religious persecution here, not singing "kumbaya" to the terrorists.
What is so hard to understand the difference between "Radical Islam" and the rest of the billions of peaceful Muslims in the world? It seems that some people are simply incapable of getting their minds wrapped around this fact.
We have a small Christian group right here in America who protest at soldiers funerals, spewing hate and screaming obscenities. And a few anti-abortion fanatics that murder doctors and bomb clinics for performing abortions. Do you condemn the entire Christian faith because of them?
Somebody mentioned the Prez of Iran disputing the fact that the Holocaust occured, yet right here we have David Duke, who was a presidential candidate, spouting the same Nazi bullsh*t. So what's the point?
It's extrememly frustrating to try to debate this topic with people who simply react to what's in front of them instead of trying to understand the big picture. Yeah, it sounds "tough" to say things like "screw the ragheads, kill 'em all" and other similar idiocy. It's a lot easier to just hate than it is to think.

I think I'm going to have to set the record straight here. There's a few gung-ho, tough-talking wanna-be's around here that seem to think that just because I take a stand for decency, respect and integrity, and condemn racism, religious persecution and other stupidity, then I must be some sort of cloud-hopping flower-sniffing hippy crybaby.
What I mean about controlling your base emotions in order to fight terrorism more effectively comes from very real personal experience. I was an Infantry grunt in Vietnam. The first time I was in combat I was so scared that it took my squad leader whacking my helmet a few times to get my face up out of the mud, raise my rifle and start shooting towards the enemy position. I seriously doubt I hit anything except a few trees. Combat Stage 1.
The next time I was able to function a little better, because I was learning to control my fear. Logic told me that if I didn't start aiming my weapon and taking down the enemy, then I was going to die. I remember my first kill, it was a VC wearing black "pajamas". I saw him flop down when I squeezed. After the cease fire I went over and saw it was just a kid, maybe 12 or 14. That was quite a sh*tload of emotions to get a handle on. Combat Stage 2.
After I saw enough of my buddies getting killed and various parts of their bodies being blown off, I began to hate those f**king gooks. I'd replay a firefight back in my mind and realize that I'd be screaming and cursing as I was shooting my M16 at anything that moved. If a bush shook or a leaf fell I would blast away at it. Combat Stage 3.
I stopped hating them about the same time I started respecting them. The North Vietnamese soldier was a very tough, brave, and resourceful enemy. Rarely did you see them back away from a fight. Only after heavy losses or we killed them all did they stop fighting. I started to try to get inside their heads, understand their tactics, even sympathize with their cause. I realized they were fighting for their country. This is when I began to kill them more efficiently. I never kept track, so don't ask. Combat Stage 4.
I got WIA before I ever reached Stage 5, but my buddy Jimmy had been there the whole time. He was the kindest, gentlest guy you'd ever meet. He wore glasses, talked with a stutter, he was the geek we all picked on when we were in school. He was also a stone-cold killer. I can remember as if it was yesterday, we were lying side-by-side behind a big rotten log, catching some heavy sh*t. Bullets were hitting the log and bits of bark and wood were falling on us. I looked at Jimmy and he'd been shot in the ear, there was blood all over his neck. He had his M16 up on the log and was carefully picking targets, aiming and squeezing, aiming and squeezing, one-shot-one-kill. A totally calm, emotionless killing machine. Afterwards we found a lot of dead NVA lying in his field of fire, most shot through the head or chest. When I asked him how he did it, he just looked at me with his lost-puppy eyes and said "I j-j-just h-h-hate to s-see anybody s-s-suffer." Jeezus.
You want to defeat terrorism? Then stop being terrified. Put aside your hatred and start using your head. Shut your mouth and start listening. Nobody ever killed anybody with tough talk and name-calling.

I'm not even very comfortable talking about the war at all. Sometimes I need to explain what I mean, or how I arrived at my opinion. I hope that rational folks might learn a thing or two from it, maybe spare them from my mistakes.
You're not even smart enough to know that you have to walk in someone elses shoes before you have the right to call them "traitor", or judge them in such a derogatory way. And you won't get any smarter until you learn to listen to those that know.
And if you get your panties in a bunch because I tell a few war stories, then you must have a pretty fragile ego there, cowboy.

I will second that opinion, and assumed you were a combat veteran. The entire gist of my argument was not "hate all Muslims", but do NOT be afraid to call out the terrorists. They are using our own devices against us (again, a clever enemy). I have several friends in the sandbox currently and hear what is happening first hand. For the record, the whole war makes me sick, but we are in it like or not. And I have no easy solution. I have several "gung-ho tough talking hot head" friends (who have never fired a shot in anger) that defend the conflict based on outing Sadam. What a load of crap, there are massacres and brutal dictators all over Africa, and as a nation our government just says "what a bummer, send a few boxes of food when it is over" . Remember Rwanda? If ANYONE thinks this is not about money and oil, than no argument with that person could be rational.
My point Boogey, is I do get what you are saying, really, but we as a country have limited options at this point. We either get tough, and I mean really tough, or things may well escalate to a point of conflict beyond what our ignorant government experts can fathom. My dearest wish is that all the soldiers in Iraq could hop a flight home tomorrow and be done with it, but it would not end. And being tolerant and accomodating to the radicals will not end this.
So I ask you again (in a non-insulting or sarcastic manner) what would you do? If you where the boss, what would your plan be? I sure cannot come up with a good one.
And what's your solution?
Spit tobacco juice at 'em?

I don't care if you share war stories. I find them interesting. I don't like your holier than thou attitude that's all. Sure you fought for the country. That's great. My father did as well. He says Kerry was a traitor to him, so that seals the deal for me. My Grandfather lost his hearing in the South Pacific on a destroyer, and my other Grandfather died at Normandy. I am thankful for their service as well as yours. The point is I never acted like I was some kind of badass or mall sniper in the least, yet your only reaction to my post was to try to belittle my toughness. I never claimed to be tough, nor did I say I was a one man killing machine. I never claimed to have fought for the country either. I am just an average Joe. How anything I have said translates to me being an internet tough guy is beyond me.
I got a buddy over there in Iraq right now. He is a liberal Democrat. He hates Bush as much as you do most likely. His solution is to send in 200,000 more troops. He thinks that is what is needed to get the job done. He told me, 'We have the right to fight for the Iraqis.' That just about made me cry. The man believes in what he is doing, and his politics don't change that. I bought him a steak dinner and all the beer he could drink when he was on leave. I just hope he makes it back.

My point Boogey, is I do get what you are saying, really, but we as a country have limited options at this point. We either get tough, and I mean really tough
I have to disagree with you here, at least in the case of Iraq. It's an unholy mess, we need to get the hell out of there and let them fight it out amongst themselves. When the dust clears, we'll see how the cards lay and figure out the best way to deal with it then.
We cannot win this thing militarily. Even if we sent 500,000 troops over there, the real terrorists would just duck and cover, and spring up elsewhere. And you'd have 10 times as many of them. We'd have 50,000 causalties, and be stuck occupying a powder keg.
So I ask you again (in a non-insulting or sarcastic manner) what would you do? If you where the boss, what would your plan be? I sure cannot come up with a good one.
I'm no genius either, Mooky. But I do know that it's going to take level heads and smarter tactics to deal with terrorism. It's going to take teamwork, and I'm talking worldwide teamwork here, not recklessly plowing along unilaterally without regard to the consequences. It's time to start reaching out and making some new friends, and one thing that all "civilized" countries have in common is the desire to defeat terrorism.
Some might call it being "soft", but a very wise man once said: "The pen is mightier than the sword". The better diplomacy we exercise, the less wars we have to fight alone. Why are we practically the only ones left in Iraq? It's not because everyone else "chickened out". It's because we were stupid, arrogant, and reckless, and didn't have a plan. We lost any support we ever had, which was a lot right after 9/11.
No, I don't have a magic wand to wave and make it all better. But I do know where to start. Get the hell out of Iraq, go into Afghanistan and run down that Bin Laden bastard for what he did to us, and then come home and regroup. Get rid of these Neo-Con idiots and try to get some smarter people in charge of this mess. Now that they've turned everything into a sh*thole, it's not gonna be easy cleaning it up. Start mending some bridges and making some real allies. We're gonna need all the help we can get.
Ok so let me get your plan straight Boogy.
1. Leave Iraq and **** over any Iraqis that still have any hope in us, again. At the same time, prove to our enemies that we can be waited out. Kill a few of our men everyday for a few years and we will give up.
2. Let the Iranians take over the whole region, re-establish the Caliphate, and get the bomb.
3. Reassess the situation.
That's brilliant!
All kidding aside, I do respect you man, but I think you are dead wrong. I think you are looking at the region incorrectly. This isn't Vietnam. We left there with no consequences for ourselves. If we let Iran take over and win, we are either dead in the water, or committed to a full on 'real war' similar to WW2 with nukes this time.

I don't care if you share war stories. I find them interesting. I don't like your holier than thou attitude that's all.
My "holier than thou attitude" is a figment of your imagination. I don't feel the least bit better or smarter than anyone else just because I got stuck fighting in a war. But I do feel like I have some experience that others may not have, and I have no problem sharing it or using it to make a point. If you feel diminished or threatened by the things I type on my keyboard, than I'd say you need to take a step back from your ego and have a little slice of humble pie, you might learn a thing or two.
I never acted like I was some kind of badass or mall sniper in the least

Like I said, the military did it right in Fallujah. I never said I was there or a badass, or a killer of any kind. Your default argument know is 'You weren't the Nam so you can't discuss military stuff'. It is lame and it doesn't work.
Yeah I think that is exactly what will happen if we leave Iraq. It is obvious to just about anyone that has studied the region in the least. The Iranians want to bring about the Apocolypse. They believe the Prophet will come back, and they will be able to establish an Islamic worldwide caliphate. That is their goal, and they are crazy enough to try it.
Let's not forget the Sunnis! The Saudis will step in to defend the Sunnis in Iraq most likely. Then you got the holders of a large chunk of the world oil supply at war with each other. Through Israel and a few nukes in the mix, and what do you think the outcome will be?
What do you think will happen if we pull out our troops in Iraq?

How can you expect a reasonable debate when you keep pulling this sort of crap?
What do you think will happen if we pull out our troops in Iraq?
Most likely the same thing that happened when we pulled out of Vietnam. They finished their civil war, one side took over, and the country stabilized. Learn from your freaking history, fer chrissakes.
How can you think Iran is gonna be able to get any better handle on Iraq than we can? Let 'em try, better them getting blown up than us.
China tried to invade Vietnam through Cambodia after we left. They got their a$$es handed to them. Learn from history.
See, now you've gone and landed what used to be a good thread in the "Dummies" section. Good job, slick. <_<
I think you had just as much part in landing it in hear. Hell I didn't call you any names. Your attitude conveys the 'you weren't there so you don't know ****' routine. If I am wrong forgive me.
Assuming Iraq will turn out like Vietnam is folly. Even if it did, who says that is a good idea? Millions died after we pulled out. BTW, I say we because I am an American and my country did it.
At any rate, you leave out the fact that Iran is causing much of the trouble in Iraq. They can surely handle their own troublemakers.

Yeah, I'm kinda old, I guess. Old enough to be comfortable with it. So you can call me "old man" all you want, no skin off my butt.
As to the rest of your post, it doesn't make enough sense to respond to. It's way too late for that. :o
Wow...first of all, this thread has clearly gotten out of control and severely off track...obviously why it's in debate for dummies.
Boogyman did not start this thread or point out an issue that is a problem on this board because he thinks he's better than everyone here or like he's some sort of f'ing expert.
Let me ask everyone here a serious question.
WHEN THE FUC% DID IT BECOME ACCEPTABLE OR COOL TO HATE SOMEONE BECAUSE OF THEIR DIFFERENCES?!?!?! End of f'ing story!!!
Apply that to race, sex, religion, politics, or even preference of guns. For the case and point as to why this was started...you cannot hate all Muslims. This breeds hatred in return and it perpetuates. I've known several Muslims, both from the middle east and america. Everyone of them knew I was a Christian and I never heard a word that condemned me. Everyone wants to say that all terrorists are Muslim. Was Timothy McVay a Muslim? Was the gas station sniper a Muslim? Was the freeway shooter that killed someone 5 miles away from my house here in Ohio a Muslim? Was the guy that released Sarin gas in Tokyo subways a Muslim? NO! There are millions of peaceful Muslims in America. We are currently liberating a country full of Muslims.
Case by case by case by case! That's how you judge people is when you know them. End of story. I'm tired of this f'ing bullsh!t where everyone wants to be some racist fuc% because our enemy HAPPENS to consist of primarily Muslim people that have a violent outlook of the Koran. There is nothing but racism breeding destruction and hatred in this country. Most conservatives are just blatently racist because they're expected to be and I'm just f'ing sick of it.
This doesn't make me a liberal or a hippie or a democrat. It makes me a NON-a$$hole. I get so f'ing pi$$ed off when people call me a democrat or some crap. Not even because I hate democrats. It's because they want to label me because they don't possibly understand that there's a difference between what they believe and what I believe yet I could still be willing to vote republican or that I favor a lot of laws that republicans have to offer. They're so scared that a non-retard, free thinking, unbiased individual could possibly be on the same side of the fence. I in fact like a large number of republicans. I was raised hardcore republican. Yet I'm often ridiculed and called a liberal hippie troll for simply disfavoring or rather almost completely disliking ONE politician...obviously I'm talking about Bush. In fact, I haven't liked a single presidential hopeful since Bush Senior was in office and I felt the country was doing rather well then and rather well under Reagan.
It is a fact that every single person on earth is prejustice. However, there is a difference between this and letting it spawn into racism. Didn't your mom or dad ever slap you on the mouth for saying rude stuff about different people? Or did they help enforce it? My dad has said mildly racist things in my presence before and I've told him that I better not hear him say anything like that again. I don't tolerate it and I don't understand why others do.
You people could learn a thing or two from Boogyman about free thought and anti-racism. He may be an older gentleman but think of it in this aspect. He's old enough that he's seen enough and learned enough that there is no purpose to hate others for no reason. He's an intelligent man and from one unbiased, open minded, free thinker to another, he is a welcome change to America's generally accepted racist hatred of Muslims or anyone else that is different. If you all ready knew and upheld the things in this post then I'm glad for you. If didn't know and uphold these things and you read this entire post and didn't learn anything then I'm ashamed of you and I can't comprehend how you live your lives on a daily basis with the hatred you must feel for others.

And I think Boogey is intelligent and has valid arguments along with some REAL life experience. My arguments were based on not being afraid to target those that target us. That is not a blanket racist anti-muslim statement. Ironically, my minor degree in college was eastern Religions.
These are historic times, and I am humble enough to admit that I do not have an easy solution and also believe the current administration does not either. I am just tired of reading about people being slaughtered for nothing (on both sides).
On the other hand, if someone messes with MY country/family I will lash out, without feeling guilty or racist. What a mess we are in indeed.
So it's settled.
.45 ACP AKs are better than 9mm ARs.
I feel alot better now.
By the way,if you come to my country and attack my people........
I have something for you.
Maybe even if you are "just" planning to.
Keep smiling,life really is short.

I love it when people presume to tell me what I can and cannot do.
BTW, your dad should have kicked your ass for telling him "I better not hear him say anything like that again."

BP, I guess my attitude is the same as yours, but I don't think FWB's "sympathies" lie one way or the other... he's a fair guy and he's probably just as sick of the B.S. as you and I.
But there really are only two choices as to how to deal with asinine and immature comments, aye? Either let them go, or call them out.
Letting them go might preserve the thread for awhile, but it also emboldens the A-holes into thinking they can just spew their crap with impunity anywhere they choose.
Calling them on it usually leads to the topic getting lost and the thread getting closed or moved here, but if you're consistent then maybe the idiot will think twice before blurting out more garbage if they know they will be challenged every time.
The problem the Mods face is having the time or patience to read back through the thread to see who started it. Usually a Mod will just see the mess and not the one who made it, and simply close it. We can't really blame them, they do this for nothing but our appreciation. But it would be nice if some of the consistent jerks were dealt with more judiciously.
There's 3 reasons I'm involved in so many thread closures...
1. I post controversial threads.
2. I don't take any crap.
3. I'm a non-comformist. (I don't follow the status-quo, or fit into the mold of your typical gun enthusiast, therefore I must be a cloud-hopping flower-sniffing hippy crybaby.)
If you read carefully through the theads here in the "dummies" section, you would see that 90% ended up here because some jerk started some sh*t and I refused to let it slide. Of course, that would take a lot of time, so most people would rather just look at my name on the threads and assume I'm the troublemaker. So I'm gonna pay for it one way or the other.
But oh well, that's the price of being me.

Blender, you ignored Rsinders entire post and singled out ONE comment that wasn't even directed at you, and chose to take it personal and make a big stink about it. This is exactly the kind of crap that throws threads off-topic and turns them onto sh*t.

Rsinder put up a long post where he talked about how sick and tired he was at all the hatred and racism. You took one comment that was addressed to his Father, not you, and responded with this:
I love it when people presume to tell me what I can and cannot do.
BTW, your dad should have kicked your ass for telling him "I better not hear him say anything like that again."

THAT WHAT STARTED THIS CRAP AND YOU KNOW IT. You somehow took a statement about Rsinder's Dad as a direct attack on YOU.
You do this constantly. You are always taking something that someone says personally, when you're name is never mentioned. I don't know why, but you are the biggest baby on this board! You see attacks on Blender everywhere!
You can keep denying it forever, it's all right there for everyone to see no matter how you try to twist it. You're just proving it with every post you make. The sad thing is, you are completely oblivious to your own immaturity!

First of all, my father respects me because I am a considerate and loving individual and I resiprocate that to him. I love my father and I felt it was neccessary to snap him back to "non-racist reality". My father is not racist but can let his prejustice get the better of him at times. I was enforcing the fact that you shouldn't be racist and letting him know that his loving son did not feel the same way about race descrimination.
Maybe you're saying something about the relationship between you and your father...maybe he doesn't respect your opinion and would back hand you even if you were right. The same does not go in my family so you can keep your opinion in that manner to yourself.
You also have the right to do whatever you want. It's called the Bill of Rights. The difference is that the Bill of Rights states that you can do whatever you want until it encroaches on someone else's rights. Racism does just this and all I said was not to be racist. End of story. Is that too hard to accept? Then join the KKK and I'm sure they won't have a problem with racist bantering. I'm actually on the other side of telling people how to think and feel. Being anti-racist is saying to let everyone be as free as possible and not let racists go down the dangerous path that can take freedoms away from people. End of story. I am being as civil about this as possible, especially since I had comments directed toward my family thrown at me.
BTW-When my children are grown up, I'll be mature enough to acknowledge when they're right if they tell me something that I'm doing wrong.

Some of you people amaze me? Why must you defend muslims? I mean if you were a muslim I would expect you to. But for a white man of christian or pagan faith, why would you care. These people are your enemies. There is a reason why we have fought and killed each other since time begin. We are not meant to get along. And we never will. So why waste your time defending these people and making enemies of your own people. This being said I belive if we are not to conquer and destroy these people we have no business in the middle east. As the same I belive these people have no business in America or Europe. Because no matter how it begins there is always one certain end.And that end is death to either us or them. This happy go lucky multi-cultural world is a dream cooked up by goverments and the United Nations for there own political gain. This result can be found by looking at almost any mixed neighborhood in any country. You have people constantly fighting and killing each other. This could all be avoided by simply staying away from each other or by one side destroying the other. But there is no halfway point. Where have you expressed any opinion on the thread topic? Your very first post in this thread started with this:
Seriously, Boogy, get off your high horse.
Since then every one of your posts have been taking issue with me or somebody else for some self-percieved personal insult or criticism.
You're not "debating" the topic at all. Your just trying to make into a sh*t-slinging contest with me and anyone else who you think has "attacked" you somehow.
Now YOU are the one trying to "shift the blame" on ME.

WhiteWulf, I don't think you've understood one word of what's been said relating to this topic. Basically all you are saying is that since those that attacked us were Muslim, that we should hate all Muslims, they are all our enemy, and we should just kill every Muslim in the world.
I truly feel sorry for anyone who thinks and feels as you do.

+1. This is yet another example of ignorance in it's purist form. Like I said earlier, when Tim Mcvay committed an act of terrorism I didn't hear a bunch of people talking about how they hated white people and how they all want to kill us. This goes back to taking things case by case. Just saying that "These people are your enemies. There is a reason why we have fought and killed each other since time begin. We are not meant to get along. And we never will." WHAT?!?! This is pure racism and blanketing biggotry. There is no other way to rationalize this statement. Yeah...since all Muslims, including the numerous Muslims that I've known and been friends with want to destroy me, I'll just hate them and destroy them first. That doesn't sound like I'm setting myself up for disaster.
Since you feel this way, why don't you go down to your local Mosque and just walk from Muslim to Muslim and execute each and every one of them. Why don't you join the military and go over to a Muslim country and just go ape-sh*t and perform mass killings...in fact, you should go organize a Muslim genocide since you feel this strongly that they're ALL your enemy, even the ones that come to the U.S. as political refugees.
