Is the 24 to 36 inch pound spec for the mini-14 gas block bolt torque also useable on the Mini-30 ? I would think they would be the same. Thanks

I plan to torque my Mini-30 gas block the same as my Mini-14, when I get around to it. I assume you have already read the thread by cajungeo on the gas block: http://perfectunion.com/vb/showthread.php?t=43577

Ya, I think I will go with his " medium " of 30 inch pounds. And even the gap on the sides. My 14 is a well maintained 1984 and my 30 is a 1995 so I have a little time gap twix the two.

i have had my gas block off & on so many times i don't need to use the torque wrench anymore. it's a muscle memory kinda thing. hand tight with a t-handle driver & then a bit of a turn more. i have checked it with the inch pound torque wrench & i am usually within 1-2 inch lbs of desired torque. it is just the pain in the a$$ of cleaning the loctite off the screws each time. i have it dialed in now & i'm gonna leave it alone. (yeah right) mini-30 ss shooting 2.5" groups with no flyers. i am happy! Pat
