Hi!
My brother bought yesterday a mini 14 (Series 181), used in good condition but not the newer ranch model.
My idea is, that he should bring it back and change for a new model. Now he would like to hear reasons why he schould pay a hundred euros more. I think the new daouble based mount is much more reliable. Some other reasons?
Thanks!
As he infected me by the mini virus, a plan mini in 6,8 Rem SPC.

I sold my 181 series mini for money to buy a 580. I liked the front and rear sights better than the original Ranch, the rifling twist rate was changed to 1:9 to stabilize longer projectiles now available, and I wanted a stainless steel rifle this time around. The tolerances on its parts are supposed to be improved, as is overall accuracy. It can still be made more accurate, but at least it comes with reasonable accuracy from the factory now.
