hi i would like to introduce my self.
I run a gunsmith shop in Canada called Country Gunsmith and my name is Philip and I have been working with the mini 14 for a few years now. I have come up with a few mods of my own some of them are my own ideas and some are ideas from others that i feel i have improved on. i also have been doing the full re-build on the mini (heavy barrell, trigger gas block ect) i just wanted to introduce my self. i will be posting in the next while on the things i have done and plan on doing most of my stuff is avaible either threw mail order or work done by you bring or mailing in your gun to my shop.
i look forward to any questions or comments.

Hi Countrysmith. Great to have you here in the forums!

I'm curious about the barrel work you've been doing. Do you by any chance do re-barreling options that would involve an "intermediate" weight barrel, something that doesn't go all the way to a bull barrel, but say halfway, like a 0.750" diameter? Also, can you describe some of your ideas about the gas block? I'm sure folks here would be very interested to hear your ideas.

as far as re-barreling options i have not done a "intermediate" as of yet but it is a good idea and would not be hard for us to do. especially with our gas block design. tell me more what you would like to see and i send you some pics or diragrams and plans and see what you think of them.

i am new to the whole computer thing but hope to have a website up in a while. as far as posting pics on this site, i dont know how??? i tried a few times and cant do it?? but if there is something you want to a pic of i could email it to you. (i have figured out how to do that much)
