Well the standard holiday layoffs have occured where I work(ed), thank goodness ol' scrooge is still alive and well, wouldn't want us working stiffs to have a happy holiday now would we? we might get uppity or something after all. ;)
So with lots of time on my hands I've been re-loading and working on sighting my mini 14 in at 100 yds.
I feel comfortable shooting a non-scoped mini at 50 yds, but decided to get out of my comfort zone and try 100.
Long story short, I feel more and more confident that mini accuracy problems are more shooter than gun.
I saved 4 targets as an over view of my day, the largest group was 5.75", next was 3.5", third was 2.5" and the best was an amazing 1.5" group using only sights at 100 yds, I used my old stock of "cheap" wolf 62 gr. .223 and varied between my red dot and iron sights, niether sight proved better accuracy wise just basic pattern differences were noted.
I am starting to quit blaming my guns for my accuracy problems and work on my own accuracy problems because 6 months ago I was lucky to get a 6" group at 50 yds when I first purchased the gun.:D
