Here she is, a Springfield Loaded Standard with bottom rail sling swivel thingy, Smith Enterprise scope mount and muzzle brake, and a Leupold Mk. 4 3.5-10x40 FFP M3 TMR w/ ARD on ARMS low QD rings:

And wearing a GG&G bipod, borrowed from her little brother:

Modesty conceals a Sadlak spring guide. Going to need a cheek-n-stock now, though.

Hey Zealot... I actually live in Cheshire county, but I'll be with the in-laws in CA late Dec. through early Jan. Coincidence?

Dorkface, be advised that it's an imperfect product. (Also, I think it's actually made by Versapod, although I got mine from Fulton). You have to drill out your rivets to install it, and it doesn't necessarily fit perfectly without having to sand down the stock a little. The swivel itself is inexplicably much larger than the one it replaces, and the rail grooves aren't milled perfectly straight. Not really the quality I was expecting for the money. But in the end, it does do the job.

I ordered a cheek pad from these folks (http://www.cheeknstock.com/main.html), who call it a "Cheek-N-Stock". They make one specifically for the M1A with pads up to 1.25", which is what the mailman delivered today.

I haven't taken it to the range yet to try it out, but my first impression is favorable. It's soft and well-made, and I must say that it provides an absolutely perfect cheek-weld for the scope. I put the stock up to my shoulder, rest my cheek on the pad, and the view through the scope is just wonderful. It should make my next shoot a lot more comfortable.

...and got a pair! I un-gussied and traditionally-styled the M1A, and put the scope on an M25 with a JAE-100 stock. The M25's currently at SEI for some accurizing TLC.
