I was browsing the CZ web site, helping a friends brother by listing several types of .223 bolt action rifles, so I was going thru the various sites and listing links. One thing that caught my eye was the CZ 750 Sniper rifle, shoots the .308 and comes with 2 - 10 round magazines.

I e-mailed CZ directly, but I suspect with the weekend and if they take off for Columbus day that I won't get an answer right away, but I figured all the folks in the know here could give me answer.

My question is this rifle CA legal, it's not listed, but judging by the looks with the 10 rounder magazines, the thumbhole type stock and muzzle brake it looks legit to me based on what little i Know, however I'm no expert.

At 2,000 I think this would be a nice rifle to have in ones collection, it's just a kewl looking rifle, but I hear from others that CZ has a pretty good reputation and good quality products. Any input on CZ products, rifles, shotguns and handguns would be appreciated.

Here is the link to the CZ rifle I'm talking about:

Thanks for any replies, and suggestions on CZ products, scope of course isn't included, hehe.

I don't know about whether that rifle is Commiefornia legal or not, but I have owned a couple CZ rifles for years. I have a CZ527 in .223, and a CZ452 .22LR. They are both excellent rifles, well made, great accuracy, and wonderful fully adjustable single set triggers. A friend of mine has a CZ75 pistol that he likes alot. He has never had a problem with it. I recommend CZ products without reservation. They make some great firearms.

I have a BRNO .243. Is it also a CZ rifle? And how good is it?

One shot, the short answer is no. The longer is that years ago under communist rule CZ and Brno were centrally managed but now are split and CZ will not fix Brno guns. I have CZs in 9 parabellem, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5x55,7.62x39& 3006 and Brnos in 22mag and 375 H&H. I find the CZs to be a little smother finished but both are well made, and work horse guns.

CZ makes awsome rifles. My range master has 4 of them that he uses for squirls, sheep, etc... The thumbhole stock portion of the AW ban does not apply becsaue it is not a semi automatic rifle with a detachable magazine. If I had the extra dough, I'd by one as a long range rifle.

Yes, that's high on my list of wants, but not right now due to medical issues. However, I want the Socom II first before I buy this one. Anyways I e-mailed CZ and they did say it was CA legal, so were good to go, just need some $$ :=)
