Holy Crap! That is one impressive M1A. I saw one like that at the range here in San Diego when the seals were there getting in time to be comfy with the new rifle before the Iraq trip. Except yours looks more impressive than theirs was.
Oh and the AR10 looks nice too. Ive been thinking about putting together an AR10, here in CA with a fixed mag albeit but some off list lower like Les Baer or Stag, then get an Armalite 20" upper, maybee flat top , but with a standard front site, they unfortuneately dont have that option on thier site, I emailed them with no reply.

very nice h20, i would like to see your sage next to a m4 for a better size comparison.

I wanted a M14 SOPMOD so so bad, still do, but troy industries discontinued them and i dont think ill ever find one :( couldnt afford it right now anyways

Hang in there Holliday,
I have the brand new pre-production TROY SOPMOD M14 Modular Chassis System on the way.
It's a drop-in stock that will retail for about $800.
I'll post a report with pictures over on EBRSOPMODS.com (http://www.ebrsopmods.proboards100.com/index.cgi) soon.

As for the MK14 SEI vs. M4 size comparison... the MK14 SEI fits in the Pelican M4 / 1100 case.

hmmm, i hope that it will look something like the rock sopmod. im not a fan of the "DISS" sopmod that troy is selling right now because of the m4 telescoping stock. i really like the ROCK sopmod or EBR's sliding buttstock.

As far as I know TROY currently has no M14 stocks on the market.
The Rock SOPMOD conversion never produced more than 40 units and
the drop-in stock that we have been talking about for a few years
has undergone many changes, but has never been produced or sold.

I do know that the new stock will not have the sliding buttstock.
It will accept all AR type buttstocks and pistol grips though.
SAGE is your only choice for the type of sliding buttstock you like.

Pre-production orders only... and it will not look like the stock pictured.

I had Art install an SWS FF tube on the original 20.0" medium weight upper.
SWS makes a great free float tube.

Pictured with my AR-10A4 is a prototype of the new TROY MCS with my MK14 SEI action installed. Flat top M14 :D

Is the new MCS lighter overall than the older design?

I'm not sure what older design you are talking about, there have been at least 4 different variations that I know of.

Both the SAGE and the MCS are lighter when the buffer tube butt stocks are used.
