Well boys and girls this ought to get the ole blood a-flowing....

US federal judge declares boating, fishing, hunting illegal in all US navigable waters (http://www.fishsniffer.com/cgi-bin/forumsyabb/YaBB.pl?num=1158440002)

And it goes on......

Judge James ruled that federal law grants exclusive and private control over the waters of the river, outside the main shipping channel, to riparian landowners. The shallows of the navigable waters are no longer open to the public. That, in effect, makes boating illegal across most of the country.

So much for you fishing and hunting folks.... and God forbid you get caught water skiing.

Not suprising - he was nominated by Clinton.

Judge Robert G. James, U. S. District Court, Western District of Louisiana, Nominated by William J. Clinton on January 27, 1998.

I suspect this will be overturned. This I suspect is less about property rights and more about trying to restrict gun related activities and animal rights. Just my suspicion - if I get time will track down a few more of Judge James court cases.
