Next, I offer my hand in an apology. It is up to you to accept it or not.

I state to all here that I stepped out of line and regret that action, as such I'm offering an apology to Boogyman.

Good enough for me. If you're man enough to apologize, then I'd be less of a man if I didn't accept.

As long as this thread is in my name, I'd like to say this to everyone here on Perfect Union:

I am a very contentious, contrary old fart. I enjoy a good debate, argument, and even a little mud-slinging at times.

I'm passionate about America, and I believe debate and dissent is the most valuable freedom we all have. To me, it is our responsibility as Americans to make our views and opinions known, and to be as involved as possible in the political process given our individual circumstances.

I welcome disagreement as much as I do agreement, and I respect my political "adversaries" here even though I may seem disrespectful at times. If there weren't people here to stand up to me, call me on my rants, and flip sh*t back at me, it would be pretty boring and pointless.

So in the true spirit of American politics, let's have at it, and let's have a little fun too. ;) We can all stand to loosen up and chill out a little, myself included. :rolleyes:

I have been away for a few days and missed the gist of the original thread. But I have followed previous political debates here, and based on those observations formed certain opinions of contributors. My measurement of a true SOB is how long he can hold a grudge. You guys (I'm glad to say) just don't qualify.:D

I certainly hope no hard feelings are held against anyone. Debate is debate. I honestly have no problem sitting down and having a beer with someone who has the exact opposite viewpoints as myself, so long as he's a man who isn't sour in my company. :)

I do talk about things other than politics myself. Like computers. Cars. Firearms. Women. Mostly women. With firearms a close third to cars. Sorry, I live in CA. Firearms is a "taboo" topic of discussion out here.. ;)
