View Full Version : Just a few interesting SKS pictures.
Hi all,
I just thought I would post a few 'interesting' SKS pictures.
I took them today at the range.
These are looking down the barrel, and the side of my 1952 Soviet Simonov.

The AK/SKS Gallery has been rather slow lately, so I thought I would liven it up a bit.
Good Shooting!

Nice rifle and other equipment, BUT, that has got to be the most scenic rifle range I have ever seen!! What a beatiful and peaceful place to shoot. Good grief, I would be tempted if a deer walked out downrange.

I agree, It`s a very nice place to shoot. NWO, is this a floor jack converted into a shooting rest?

Yes, it is the nicest shooting facility on the West Coast.
The JCSA is actually a County Park. It includes 5 trap/skeet ranges, a police training range, a cowboy action range, a pistol range, an INDOOR .22, and pistol range, two rifle ranges, and one 600 yard (I believe that is the range) high power range. There are also archery ranges, and a LARGE campground (with hookups), and a nice club house.
Wait, there is MORE! The park also has a beautiful picnic area with playground, AND a large pond that is stocked with fish. Any member may actually FISH in the pond. It is a 'throw back' policy, but you can fish there if wish! You can even float your boat, or swim in the pond.
It really is a sportsmans paradise. I am proud to live in a community with such a fine facility.
There are nice, clean restrooms, lots of parking, and great range managers who work their BUTTS off to keep the place nice.
There are LOTS of different types of wildlife there too. Snakes, Deer, Bear, lizards, wild turkeys, stick pins, squirrels, skunks, all types of birds, geese, ducks, turtles. You name it.
It is a sanctuary for wildlife. No hunting of the animals is allowed there. If you are ever caught shooting at an animal, you will be asked to leave and not return. Member or not. That is the way it should be.
It is a very scenic park. I go out there every chance I get!
There are also many sub-clubs affiliated with the JCSA. One of the best is the Junior shooting program of which I am involved in.
Thanks for the compliments on my SKS pictures. I am always trying to take interesting pictures of my weapons, and the range.
Hi COWBOY117.
Good Shooting!

You know what? Now that you mention it, it DOES look rather like a floor jack!
Actually it is a very nice rifle rest made by Shooters Ridge. The rest is the 'steady point' model. Adjustable for windage, and elevation.
I love it. One of the best rests made, in my opinion!
