I recently purchased a couple of MP5 A3 parts kits and they arrived today.
The A3 stocks are not the same. One looks just like every other A3 stock I've ever seen and the other is a mystery to me. The seller said the mystery stock came on the gun directly from HK and I trust him when he tells me this. We've done business in the past at he's a straight shooter.
Below is a picture of the stock locked in as far as it will go. It will not close flush like a standard MP5 A3.

FYI: The mystery stock has a date code of "10".
Thx

I'd like to see the pictures, but the links dont seem to work. They say "NOT FOUND"
I don't know much about HK weapons except for the 91 series. I have one of those.
Good Shooting!

Sorry dood:blink:
Try it now....
The arm on the mystery stock is also longer than the standard A3 stock at 9 7/16" v. 8".

Thanks TD,
The links work now.
It is a mystery to me, but I was interested in looking to see what you are talking about. I wonder why the stocks are so different, yet both come from HK for the same weapon?
Sorry I could not be any help, but I was curious.
Good Shooting!

I'm thinking it's not a MP-5 stock.
It's a great fit om my HK 33 but that still doesn't explaine why it doesn't lock up flush like every other HK stock I've ever seen.

Yes, that is strange. One would think it would be the same as any other HK stock. Maybe it was a special run for some reason. Kind of like the Ruger MINI-14 folding stock, or something.

I know I have seen these on MP5's before somewhere. I hate to sugest another board but this is a specialty thing. Have you tired this at the H&KPRO.com boards? They are a welth of info from around the globe specialazing in H&K's, one-off's and prototype stuff. I'm sure someone there will know for sure.
Sorry I don't have the answer myself. When you find out, can you post the results here so we can know?

That was my 1st stop but no help to be found.
Several suggested it a French style stock and although it's very similar it's not a "F" stock. If you google HK MP5 A3F stock you will notice the similarities between this and a "F" stock.
I guess it will here after be referred to as my mystery stock.

Belive it or not the G3 or AG3 (Automat Gevær 3 - Automatic Rifle 3) is still the main weapon of the Norwegian Army. AG3 made in norway are slightly longer than the german version this might be a "uppgraded" stock for the norwegian AG3, but its 10 years since I served and we had the standard norwegian model http://www.rosenhoff.net/assets/images/ag3_1.png
